Savor this: the new contemporary erotica in the Wicked Lovers series, from the author of "Decadent"
Luc's entire future is planned out-but there is one very sexy obstacle in his path: Alyssa, a strip club owner with whom Luc recently shared one night of wild abandon. It left Luc terrified by his loss of self-control-and Alyssa desperate for more. But Luc is not the only m

Basic plot:

Delicious is book three in the Wicked Lovers series and centers around Luc Traverson, a world famous chef who takes "I’m not worthy" to a whole new level and Alyssa Devereaux, a popular strip club owner who has seen more than her share of heartache.

Now, let me just get this off of my chest right up front; there was more than one time when I wanted to throw the book against the wall, or more appropriately, at Luc’s head. Granted, in almost all romance novels, the hero and/or heroine a

Delicious was such a treat to read! I’m not usually into the whole baby mama drama, but I think this series is an exception because I’ve come to love all the characters in their own special way.

Alyssa is by far my favourite heroine in this entire series! I loved the fact that she understood her feelings for Luc from the very beginning and knew exactly what she wanted to do. She had ambitions, brains and an inner strength that I really admired. Her past is a haunting one but she still is able to

In the second book in the series - Decadent - Alyssa (platinum blonde bombshell owner of a strip club) and Luc (celebrity chef) enjoyed a detailed sexual interlude. It was obvious that there was something between the two. This is their story.

DELICIOUS starts 3 months after their one night stand. Luc never called her back after that night. Alyssa hopes that they can hook up again and maybe start something for real. Unfortunately, Luc is looking to marry and has been dating a school teacher. There

I really liked this book and would have rated it 4 stars but I really thought Luc was a prick for most of the book. I just wanted to reach into the book and smack him upside the head!!

In the previous book Luc and Alyssa sent a scorching hot night together after which he promptly left, sending her flowers the next day. Part of the deal with them spending the night together had Luc coming back for a week to guest chef in the new restaurant Alyssa was set to open. Alyssa is wanting to take her life

I had such high hopes for this book with the way Luke and Alyssa were set up in Wicked Lovers #2. But frankly, I just didn't like Luke after awhile. I knew going into the book that he didn't think very highly of Alyssa regardless of the mutual attraction, but I was really hoping that he wouldn't be so caught up in that until the bitter end.

My feelings on this book (other than my distinct disdain for the leading man) are quite similar to the other books in the Wicked Lovers series. I think there

Random thoughts:

Again, Shayla Black has her characters making mountains out of mole hills. Luc's huge secret/hidden shame is that he is supposedly unable to father a child. And in his eyes this makes him less of a man. Luc's baby obsession and focus on a "suitable" wife and the white picket fence seemed a litte overdone/ridiculous.

I can't remember the last time I loathed a charatcer more than Tyler. What a jackass! The liberties he took with Alyssa, his employer, were jaw dropping. And the fact

I put off reading this after I was a little disappointed with "Decadent", and I didn't care much for Luc and Alyssa. I didn't have any expectations about this, and seeing as I put it on my favorites list is a big surprise, and obviously it's my favorite in this series so far, I have yet to read "Surrender To Me".

This really tore my heart out. It was emotional; tension, anxiety, and a heavy feeling coiled in my gut every time Luc let his jealous dick do the talking, instead of listening to Alyssa

It didn't take me long to finish this book; and this time, it wasn't because I skipped the sex scenes. Heh. This book was hot! As in, Ghost chilli hot in the Scoble scale. Even so, I was still not as enamoured as I expected to be with this series but I'm going to plow through; because no matter how many times I quibble and complain about these books, I can't deny that I'm addicted. I've said this before; Ms. Black can burn off the pages with her steamy erotica and wouldn't you know it? I can't l ...more

OK, I love the books in the Wicked Lovers series, all the people are a little broken and the stories help heal them, that being said, I was really frustrated by what a jerk Luc was in this book, I really liked him in Decadent and I like Alyssa so I had some trouble watching him be so callous, but like any good HEA it ended wonderfully. All in all I would have given it 4 1/2 stars if I could have. I really enjoyed it but for the frustration Luc brought me.

WOW, I really enjoyed this book. I wanted Luc to have his HEA so bad since it didn't work out for him in the previous book. He had issues which thank God he was able to overcome. He is one intense, stubborn, sexy man. I went from wanting to strangle him one minute to thinking how lucky Alyssa was to have a man like him desire her that much the next. Alyssa is a very likeable character. She is misunderstood but strong. She was a great person to get to know. I loved how Luc helped her with the res ...more

Chocolate Mousse and Champagne for everybody! lol Ok so Delicious is the 3rd book in the Wicked Lovers series. In this one we have celebrity chef hottie Luc (Deke's cousin) and Alyssa (Strip Club owner and friend of Jack) who after their hot sexy night together in Deke's book Decadent find their way back to each other as Luc is honoring a pact he made with Alyssa about helping her out at her new restaurant business for a week. The sexual tension and the feelings ignite almost immediately. Luc is ...more

OMG could two characters jump to the wrong conclusions a little bit more?? I was pulling my hair out with this one. They didnt communicate about the most basic to the most cosmic things!
I gave the book five stars becuase it still dragged me in hook, line and sinker.
Luc was so adorable in the last book that I couldnt wait to read his own book. I was glad that this book wasnt so into bongage or menage' as the first two and there was no anal. It was more about his trying to manage his feeling for

This was a 4.5 star read for me. Let me warn you though if you are hoping that Luc will be the sweetie that he was in book two, you will be disappointed.

With that said, I really did end up liking him a lot. He does something toward the end of the book that is so amazingly unselfish, when he has been a selfish judgmental asshat though out the rest of the book that he manages to redeem himself.

I really like Alyssa a lot. Her strength and tenacity to not fit the stereotypical stripper role were co

I really enjoyed the first two books in the Wicked Lovers series. Unfortunately, I must confess that I didn't love Delicious. And my primary reason is Luc. I already had fairly dark feelings about Luc after his machinations in Decadent. But, I thought that my feelings might be different about him once I got to see him with his own woman. No...my feelings didn't change. They actually got worse. Honestly, he treated Alyssa like a whore for most of the book -- always questioning her motives and her ...more

After reading "Delicious" I mulled over what did and didn't work for me for quite a while, and also whether or not I really enjoyed the book overall- Black is always good for scorching sex scenes, as well as a story that will tug at your heart. However, I found there to be too many problems with this book, or rather, things that were done to and by the character that made me w

So I was looking forward to Delicious. It didn't take me long to realize this was probably not the most appropriate book to be reading at the gym?!? Good thing I had my book cover on it....Yikes!

Hot shot chef Luc Traverson broke the golden rule all readers know: Never judge a book by its cover. In this case that book is Alyssa Devereaux, former exotic dancer turned strip club/restaurant owner.

I did not like Luc at the start of this book. I found him to be a judgemental, hypocritical walking hard

Shayla Black has this way of writing that won't let you put her books down! I had to know what happened next. It was one thing after another for Luc and Alyssa and the roller coaster didn't stop until the very end! Sure it would have been so easy if one of the main characters had just taken the other aside and told them what was really going on and how they really felt, but what fun would that have been!

And even tho there was one very climatic moment where I couldn't figure out why Alyssa would

If you can’t stand the heat then get out of the kitchen

Luc Traverson know what he wants and knows hot to get it. He has everything planned out. He’s an accomplished chef, with cookbooks and his own TV show coming out. He knows that he wants to get married and that he wants to have children. He wants a wife who could be a mom like his mom was. Now he has to go to Louisiana to fill a promise he made three months ago. Should be easy, go there and stay a week and cook for a restaurant. The problem?

Wow, a friend of mine visited from another town and she had a paperback of this with her...Boy, am I glad I jumped at the opportunity to read it because I had never read anything by Shayla Black before - even though I already have a lot to read. ^_^

Of course, the book was sizzling hot, but the description of emotions and the insight the author allowed us in the characters' heads was fascinating and at time heart-breaking. Loved the mystery and the little twist at the end... Really incredible!

If your one that likes a love, hate, on again off again relationship, with suspense this could be for you. To tell you the truth, I don’t normally get into these love hate relationship, but this one I couldn’t put it down. The thing that kept me going was it was so full of emotions. At times I couldn’t stand either one Luc or Alyssa then at times I really liked them. This is how it would go, as soon as they were able to stand each other and everything looking good then Luc with his jealousy woul ...more

Well let me think how to review this book. There were parts that I absolutely LOVED and of course their was my Luc, super yummy chef. But, there were also a few scenes that I thought were out of line ad a couple that really pissed me off.

Luc Traverson goes to Louisiana to see through on his side of the deal he made with Alyssa Deveraux from when she agreed to do a menage with Luce & his cousin Deke when Luc was trying to get his cousin Deke to realize how much he loved Kimber.

I had been waiting for Luc's book for a long time. Since Decadent, right, which was.....2007. So, maybe expectations were a little too high. It seemed to me, though, that Luc's character lost a little something in the three years between books. I still enjoyed this one, but not as much as I'd hoped. And, since it's been a little while since I've read it, I can't even remember enough to give details in this review. I remember that I DIDN'T like the secrecy. It didn't make much sense. I'm not very impressed. I got the impression the author of this book had a certain number of sex scenes she wanted to write, and then constructed a silly story to write around those sex scenes (which were somewhat unpleasant, to be honest). Because the story is silly, really silly, and extremely uninteresting and repetitive (how many stalkers and attacks did she manage to squeeze in again?). And the never failing rough childhood/youth, which seems to be compulsory for this genre. Bleh.

The book
