This is *not* something I would normally read but my sister loved it and begged me to read it, too. What a chore that was. I truly enjoy good chick lit. Good being the operative word. For me, it's silly books like this that give chick lit a bad name. Stupid, insecure protagonists who are walking doormats are a major pet peeve of mine. No, not everyone oozes self confidence but come on... get a backbone already. Plus, the whole mistaken identity/misunderstandings/hijinks ensue plt gimmicks ...more

Lauren-a self-conscious wedding planner, divorced, and a heck of a boss (as in horrible, horrible), until she has to work on Darla's wedding. As she looks through the file, she realizes that Darla is getting married to a "James Nick Corona", thinking that James was Nick Corona, the firefighter guy, and feels guilty for flirting with him.

i thought this was cute. light summer reading. don't bother with the made for tv movie starring denise richards and dean cain (superman tv series) the movie blows and there is too much stuff chnged from book to movie. it was a ridiculous adaptaion if you ask me.

I loved this book and was watching tv the other day when I saw this on story on the lifetime channel (or something like that). I was so excited that I wanted to watch it, but only saw 1/2 of it. I loved this book.

Such a cute book...wasn't until way later when I watched the made for TV movie, that I realized it is very similar to the movie "The Wedding Planner". I still loved it anyway!

It was a good chit lit book, but I'm not into those much. I got it from the library, gave it a chance and it was enjoyable - but I doubt I'd read much more from this author.

Easy, light read.
(A supervisor at work asked me the other day why I read all of this bride-to-be books even though I am married. That's a good question.)

Cara Lockwood is hilarious. I really enjoyed this book. It is funny, witty and delightful. I haven't had so much reading a book in a long time.

Delicious chick lit. It was like a really good chick flick that you watch everytime it's on TV. Fast and easy read.

Which came first, this or that Wedding Planner movie with Jennifer Lopez?
I don't know. I hated them both.

Great little book! I have enjoyed everything I've ever read by Lockwood and this was no exception.

This book is cute, and a very fast read. But, it is very cliche and not all that creative.
