But, after a series of missteps, sins, some would say, Eli's life is suddenly and unexpectedly altered forever. Rating: What's the Goodreads equivalent of absolute zero?

The Book Report: After suffering a series of life reverses, Job sorry, ELI, undertakes a fearless and searching moral inventory (12-steppers take note) and ends up healed.

My Review: I got this book as a gift from a good and close friend who isn't here on GR, so I feel safe publically giving it a small degree of the hatred I felt for it.

"The Almighty" "God" and "In Jesus' Name" are things that, when used in writing that isn't explicitly wit...more

Eli Cannaan is a good guy. Well, he’s a pretty good guy, that’s more accurate. For the most part, Eli is a moral man doing all the things that are expected of him. He just has one tiny problem. Actually, a big problem. He cheats on his wife with pretty much anything that will move.

Eli Canaan, married to Abigail, is a good guy. He works, takes care of his family, and doesn't steal (much). As a matter of fact, the list of all of the good things he does takes two pages of the book.

But there is one thing that seems to trump all of the good things about Eli: he cheats on his wife ... a lot ... as a matter of fact, he may even be a sex addict.

Abigail knows about her philandering husband, and one day...more

I made it clear to page 8. Up to then, there hadn't been anything that was NOT about sex and I gave up.

Got the copy for review, but pretty sure I didn't request it.

I found this book to be very funny yet had a spiritual message or two also. Can't we all use those?

If you are a woman, very religious, and easily offended then don't ready this book. It was a fast read. Pretty good.
