I Have to give Heidi Cullinan a personal applause because when I started this book I though that there was no way in HELL is she was going to make this a 5 star book~I thought 1-2 and/or 3 at the most....I could not figure how and why people were rating this so high....Well.....MY BAD!!!!! It was a pretty good book, which from me is saying a lot since i am not a fan of three-ways and i hate reading about open relationships, so for me to enjoy it enough to give it 4 stars, it says something. The writing is really good and I loved Sam and thought Mitch was ok.

Wow, ok, so... hmm, I sort of lack words. I made the mistake of thinking I could casually pick this book 20 pages before the end while I was on my lunch break... that ended badly with me crying and a chapter to go by the time it was time to return to work.... So like any other book crazy person, since my eyes and nose were red from crying, I went with it and claimed I wasn't feeling well, grabbed my purse and went to the bathroom and finished... This is one of those books that make impossible for me to let the characters go. I can't really write a review, because I would end up writing more about my feelings than about the book itself. And this is pretty useless as a review, so why am I writing this?

i loved every minute of this one, what a little hidden gem. you have to open your mind to their twisted perverted way of thinking, but if you are forgiving, then its a great sexy kinky lovely read. its a unique and spicy coming of age tale that is so naughty and fun.

I really wanted to like this book. I really tried to like this book. But in the end ... I just didn't really like this book. :( It's not a bad book! I can totally appreciate that many readers liked it and that's great. But, personally, this one just didn't appeal to me.

I really enjoyed this story. What I loved most was following Sam on his journey from one of self-doubt and shame to one of acceptance and love. With some help from Mitch, Sam was finally able to embrace his sexual desires and stand up for what he wants.

Yes there is a menage aspect (Randy the third man) but this story is all about the heartbreaking love between Sam and Mitch

I came to this from A Private Gentleman thinking that someone who managed a retelling of The King's Speech as an m/m, including child abuse, might manage writing a functional BDSM story without putting the feet squarely into cliches. I was not so lucky: readable, but very so-so.
I was wondering if I should read it for quite a long time since I'm not a big fan of threesomes but I'm so glad I've tried it in the end. I'd never believe I'll love it as much as I did but it was one of the hottest things I've ever read.
A great adventure that Sam took the risk to go on with Mitch. Quite amusing and interesting to say the least even with Sam's insecurities which he got in check somewhat, but for him it was one hellova ride. The story overall is spectacular. I couldn't put it down; I didn't want to. For some the ménage might not be appealing, but it was worth it to me because the characters were savory and tasteful... fictionwise. LOL

I just finished this book and have a big ole gin on my face. I flat out loved loved loved loved this book!! Great story, hot sex, relatable and endearing characters and a realistic story line. I wish I could meet a Mitch myself. So far 2 for 2 with Heidi's books. She is definitely my new favorite author!

I avoided this book for months -- and months -- because I didn't much like the D/s aspects of the menage sequences in the sequel, Double Blind (which I had already read), and I thought this book would just be more of the same. There's something so raw and wonderful about this book that I couldn't put it down. I've been on a BDSM kick the past week or so and this book definitely wasn't traditional D/s but it did dabble in the B&D part while straying from the S&M aspect. I wished I could have liked this book more. I really wish I could. There are elements in it that I adore and enjoyed reading. I love the May/December romance aspect, I love that 'slutty" isn't an insult, I love the sort of BDSM that doesn't involve all the whips and chains and "yes Master" and protocol and so on, I LOVE a good sexy road trip story with loads of descriptions about the world traveling by. This book was way better than I was expecting. The charater development in this book is phenomenal, and a rarity in erotic romance.
