Lets see if I can put my jumbled thoughts into a coherent review.
Q: So, what did I think about this book?
A: Hmmm, how do I explain… AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There :) Its not coherent, just like I suspected lol
Q: Is that a good or bad ahhhhhhhh?
A: Bad, a very bad ahhhhhh! I think its one of the most infuriating books I have ever read!! It made me want to cry in frustration, and bang my head against something hard (preferably a wall)! But I didn’t because eve...more

One of the reasons I loved the first novel in this series, Intertwined, was because it was the ultimate paranormal read. You like vampires, it’s got em. Werewolves? Got those too! Fairies, witches, goblins, demons... you betcha! It’s like a creature overload and I love it.
Unraveled didn’t disappoint.
Intertwined was more of an introduction novel... you meet Aden, lean about his ‘abilities’ and you meet the three other characters; Victoria, Mary Ann and Riley. Unraveled is a lot more action! And...more

Since I'm sucking at posting reviews I've decided to let Goodreads do the work for me. I'm hoping this will at least let me express my thoughts on the title at the very minimum even though it might not be formatted as I have in the past.

My initial thoughts after reading Unraveled:
Amazingly perfect. Awaiting the next book already! :)
Gena Showalter never fails to impress me.
What I love about Gena's YA series is that it's relevant to the young adult age group while so full of awesome that adult re...more
I am more than half way through and it is an ok book so far, not one I would let any person read in my house until they were mature enough. I really like love stories and good kissing scene's, but it makes me uncomfortable when detail is give and the females cloths come off (even if it is just the shirt). If I wanted that I would read adult romance.

Gemeinsam...more
I found Unraveled to drag a bit compared to the awesomeness of Intertwined. Eveybody is still trying to come to terms with Aden becoming the king of the vampires and they still have the witch curse looming over there heads as well as creatures still spilling from the woodworks trying to get at the new king, a title that Aden so totally has confessed he does not want and ponders over why Riley cant be the new king but yet there is a nagging moment every time he thinks of giving up the title.

Okay, I have YET to read Intertwined(the first book) i saw this book at the Library so i started with it first.
All in All, this is a decent read.
The Voices Aden hears are actually the best part and I look forward to going back to Book 1 to get a better intro of them.
I love Riley and Mary Ann's relationship and their characters are very engaging in this book. I want a boyfriend like Riley :)
What I don't like:

Young Aden now finds himself in Crossroads, Oklahoma, seemingly the middle of nowhere and struggling to live a normal life in high school. That's a little difficult since he's supposed to be a vampire king (despite the fact that he isn't a vampire), his girlfriend is a vampire princess and his best friend is a werewolf. Not to mention the three souls that inhabit Aden's body. Yeah, you heard me right: three. It doesn't help that these strange souls can time travel, possess other people's mind, t...more
I don't know why I waited so long to get to the second book. The first was amazing, the second is just as great! I love this series so far. So different and unique that it's so much fun to delve into this world and get lost in such great characters.
In case you don't know, I love the souls. They crack me up! They are always seeming to cause Aden problems, headache and heartache. They keep Dan thinking he's not as okay as Aden tries to make him seem and they don't give Aden any sort of peace. But...more

I was excited about this new series and I anxiously waited for the sequel. With a great deal of anticipation, I couldn’t stop wondering what would happen next! In this continuation, Aden is recovering from the battle that resulted in the death of Dimitri, the fiancé of his Vampire Princess girlfriend, Victoria. Dimitri, in a struggle for power-killed Victoria's father (Vlad) hoping to be crowned the "King" of the Vampires. Having killed Dimitri, Aden has become the reluctant human Vamp soon to b...more

Oh my God! I swear even if I liked Intertwined, I haven’t expected Unraveled to be so good. I just couldn’t stop reading and I forgot to breath a dozen of times. The book is wonderful. While Gena wasn’t steady with her writing in Interwined, she got homerun with this one.

THE STORY
Aden Stone used to think his life was empty. He had no friends. No family. No one to care about him outside of the four souls trapped in his mind, their constant rambling his only form of social interaction. Now, Aden's wishing for the time when his life was a little less crowded. He's down one soul, but is up one girlfriend, two close friends, and an entire town full of supernatural creatures eager...more

At the end of the last book, the unthinkable happened Victoria's father died, and Aden became King of the vampires. This book starts out with him dealing with the aftereffects of ingesting blood from two vampires, temporailly experiencing things in their bodies, and experiences something no one should ever have to. Then, as if dealing with the new responsibilities and threat of being king weren't enough, the witches place a curse on Aden's friends. If he doesn't show up to a meeting with the eld...more
I'm back in Crossroads baby! I probably shouldn't be this excited about being back with Aden and his friends, considering they do have a death curse on them, but I can't help it. I couldn't wait to get back into this fantastical fictitious world created by Showalter. There's murder, intrigue, love ... and werewolves! Who wouldn't be?

This book was really interesting to read, it was very teen drama, mixed in with twilight, except not as over exagerated, or sparkly. And instead of it being a lead female role, you have a very strong lead male role.
Aden Stone(human for now): Has three ghosts in his head, who are able to do a few useful trick, like body possesion, raising the dead, and seeing into the future.
Though these "gifts" can cause problems, Aden is able to hone them to be to his use(though still gets into trouble). He is...more

Alright, so Unraveled starts two days after the ending of the last book, and I have to say I liked Intertwined a lot better than this one(yes, I only rated it 2 stars but it was a whole star better than the second book). It was such a paranormalcy overload. The souls were enough fun without the vampires and werewolves and witches and goblins
and faeries and vampires and. . .

Aden Stone is a teen with some unusual abilities, not only is he a magnet for the dead; he also happens to have 3 souls trapped inside of him. Aden hasn’t belonged anywhere before, but now he is living at a ranch for troubled teens, and finally making a home for himself. He has good friends, a few with their own supernatural abilities and he is currently dating a Vampire princess.

Oh, Unraveled. First of all, this I gave this 3.5 stars, but since that isn't an option, it gets 4 because I'm feeling generous right now. Why? I don't know. And please, take no offense with my review ... but this is me being completely honest.
This book frustrated me to no end. Keep in mind, I LOVED THE FIRST ONE!!! This one just left something to be desired. Don't get me wrong, it was good. It was really good. But that was with me skipping paragraphs because I just couldn't put myself through...more

This is the continuation of Aden's story, which began in Intertwined. He's not the only one with new troubles and big secrets. Unfortunately, not all of the changes will bring happiness to those involved. Sometimes you can't catch a break...

As it has been awhile since I read the first book, I didn't really remember much about the story or the characters. However, it didn't take long for me to remember why I liked this author and the series. Intertwined continues the story of Aden Stone and his friends. This time around, not only does Aden have to deal w/ being the king of the vampires, but finding a way to lift the death curse placed on him and his friends by the witches. Add to it dealing w/ the three souls living in his head, and...more

The sequel to Intertwined, I was actually a little disappointed in this installment. It was a slow paced story, though it had its parts where you were pulled into the plot. I didn't get pulled into until about halfway through.
It didn't involve the souls inside of his head as much, so it lost me on that because during the first book you want to learn about why he has these souls inside of him. Caleb, a soul that is trapped inside of Aden's head, has a pull to the witches that are introduced in t...more

I found the first one entertaining and definaly made me want to read this one. But the first one, Intertwined, was better.
The book is very much like the first. The pace was pretty good. It wasn't too fast but never slowed down too much. The story moved forward, but there was a few things I didn't like. One, the beasts inside the vampires made almost made zero sense. It just didn't feel right. Two, the direction that Mary Ann went. Aden Stone is 16 years old, and he's had 4 souls residing within him since his birth. He now has 3, since the one female soul he called Eve had a chance to meet and spend one day with the daughter she had given birth to when she died. These souls residing within his head have powers of their own, Eve could travel through time, Julian can raise the dead, ( and that one causes nothing but grief for poor Aiden), and womanizer Caleb can possess other bodies, and Elijah can predict the future.

Unraveled is no exception to this, with witty one-liners and hilarious conversations which will leave you bent over laughing with possible tears involved! In contrast, the dramatic and more serious scenes are also plentiful, and this beautiful balance allows for a wonderfully wholesome novel.

this book is the second novel in the Intertwined Series. in this installment, Aden has only 3 souls and his own death hanging over his head. not to mention his friends' death curses that will take effect if he doesnt somehow find the witches and have a meeting with them in 5 days time. even worse, Caleb (one of aden's souls) has a past with the head witch, Marie. the biggest thing of all though, is that Aden is now the new ruler of the Vampires. at first he reject this notion, but soon comes to...more
