A Whole New Light is short sexy and to the point. It starts off with Ethan at Violet’s house for a party. He has decided he is tired of being her friend and wants more but knows that he is not her type. He is a Dom and she does not seem like a submissive. The party scene was fun and cute. Poor Ethan kept having naughty thoughts of Violet and would talk to himself.

If you want to know my scene let me take you into your bedroom, tie you up and smack that delectable ass until you beg for me. He smil

Wow! This book was hot from the get go. I love the office romance theme and the bdsm took it to the next level. Loved how Ethan was willing to just be friends and then decided to go for it before he changed jobs/distanced himself from Violet. Ethan took it real slow with Violet and the build up to the sex was smokin! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the ending. I so wanted them to get married an

Violet and Ethan work together and are best friends. Ethan is the "good guy", a computer geek, the safe guy, voted at work as the one you can safely walk down a dark alley with. They both hide a secret side to themselves when they are at work. Boy oh boy, do the sparks fly when they realise that they have more in common than they originally thought when they share those deepest, darkest desires that they have kept so private from each other for so long! They realise that even when you know ...more

Ethan is done crushing on Violet. He has played the role of her best friend for too long and is ready to take the next step. He is convinced that she isn't submissive until he sees what she is hiding under her bed.

Violet can't believe that Ethan has discovered her secret desires. She can't fathom a relationship let alone him dominating her. When he pushes for more she has to decide. Pursue her submission or let it stay on the back burner?

I loved how Ethan and Violet's relationship evolved and wa

Ethan Savage has had a crush on his coworker Violet Moore for three years, but his Dom side of him can't settle for someone who is not submissive, and there is not an ounce of sub in Violet. Deciding it's time to sever the cord and distance himself, he plans to shut the door on his friendship with Violet until an unexpected discovery has him wondering if he knew Violet at all.

Very quick read, I wish it had been longer. I thought it was a bit rushed with Violet's introduction into Dom/sub play. D
This works as a light Dom/sub story. There is some story to it so I can't mark it as porn without plot, but it wasn't as hot as I was expecting from the reviews.

Violet spends a lot of the time telling us she's not interested in this type of lifestyle while Ethan justifies the premise of the book by telling us what she wants is to relinquish control.

While I can't say that I was overall convinced by the characters it was a quick read and not at all taxing.

Very quick read. I enjoy the chemistry between Violet and Ethan. I like Violet's boldness and her defiance. I like the duality of Ethan's character: computer genius by day, Dom by night. The sexy times are pretty hot as well.

But if I'm being honest, The Burn List by this same author, is stronger in both plot and characterization.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Ethan and Violet. BUT I was expecting something more about their relationship. I enjoyed the plot. But I didn't expect that that would be the ending.
Sex is hot. BDSM scenes . . .. . . Mild.
It's a perfect novella for someone who wants some quickie BDSM story.

This is a novella - very long build up to one romp and an epilogue. Same price as a book, but less story, less lemons. The writing is good - the build up is good - but it could have been longer and there could have been more heat.

I liked that the hero was a little different from the standard. Pushed my boundaries as far as what I was comfortable with, but in a good way.
