3rd book in Frank's Nightwalker series. This is the story of Elijah, the Demon Warrior Captain and Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen. It also continues the story of the ongoing war between the Necromancers and the Nightwalker's This one really tried my patience in reading. It took me until I got to the last half of the book to really get interested in the story. I guess that is why it has been laying around the house for almost 2 weeks. It furthers the conflict along greatly, which I enjoyed reading...more

This series has a really cool concept. I like the plots, the characters, even the bad guys are incredibly worthy opponents. Wow, the villain Ruth? She is one evil woman. I wish more villains were written like her.

What I don't like is that it is soo overly wordy. In the first few pages, our hero Elijah, the greatest warrior, the fiercest of the fierce, is dying a horrible awful death and he waxes philosophical. For like 9 pages. Really? It happens a lot in...more

Elijah a Wind Demon, the Warrior Captain of the Demon armies he defends his race and his King against all enemies and up till the last decade he has spent last couple of centuries protecting Demons from the attacks of the insane Lycanthrope King. The new Queen, Siena, is determined not to give into their mutual need for one another. Although Siena is the one who ended the mad war with the Demons, how can she allow the man her people call the Demon Butcher be their King?

Wow, I have fallen head over heals in love with the Nightwalker series. Or maybe just Elijah...

Where Gideon was very romantic with long years of unknown yearning and deep seated emotion, Elijah is packed with raw passion and need. It really packs a punch.

I love how the Demons have become so clear in my mind and they are all so different from each other, with very defined character traits.

It has taken me a little while to get used to the writing in this series, but now I am totally with it. I a...more

Okay, I loved it. Elijah’s story moved the Nightwalker series forward by leaps and bounds. We saw a little of Ruth’s power and insanity. Previously, I did not understand how Ruth was passing as human and convincing magic users to die needlessly for a cause that seemed senselessly escalated. It’s still a stretch but the plot works much better in my mind now. I also see how this installment will ensure that her craziness will continue and will have no bounds. She is a formidable enemy.

I REALLY like this paranormal romance series! (Nightwalkers, by Jacqueline Frank) Ms. Frank spends most of each book letting you get to know the characters and their relationships with one another. Not just the featured romantic couple, either - you get to see many different sides of all the main characters. The resulting universe she creates is full and rich with a lot of depth. I could see myself just as sucked into this world as I am with the Anita Blake or Immortals after Dark Series, at lea...more

Though I liked Elijah for the most part, the Nightwalker series is starting to lose my interest a little. I found Siena very annoying and felt that Elijah could have had a better mate. I understood her reasoning to deny what was happening, but it was too extreme. The romances remain sappy and apparently I prefer a little more grit to paranormal romances. I much prefer to read about the actual plot of the book instead of the romance. Surprisingly, (for me, at least), I find the romances distracti...more

About 1/2 way through. I'm liking this one, but I really like Siena.
This book was as good as Jacob's story. I gave myself a break after Gideon's story because that book could not hold my attention. Elijah and Siena are a great pairing, I have loved both characters from the first time they appeared.
The story is full of intrigue and is getting us farther into the old prophecies, looks like a lot of mixing of the species is coming up! Now I can continue on with the series, every author can have a b...more

I loved Elijah. I was so anxious to read his book, that I even started it almost after finishing the 2nd book in the series.

Elijah has everithing a girl wants to see in a male charater. He was sexy ah hell, bad ass, powerfull and the sweetest thing when he had to.
Siena was also a very good female heroine, she was strong and funny. Not as good as Bella from "Jacob" but my 2nd fav.

It was good to know more about the lycans. I'm really enjoying this series. I enjoyed others more, but this one is rea...more

What can I say about “Elijah” the third book of the Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank? Yes, I know what to say. OMG!!! That simple!
Of course, I have already write reviews about the first two book of the series and I’ve told that I really like the writing style of the author but I have to tell it again. Jacquelyn Frank rocks!!!
Elijah makes his appearance from the first book and from the first moment I knew that I’d love his story. He is a strong warrior with a great reputation and he’s a man...more

Once again, Jacquelyn Frank delivers a book that could reheat my tea without the benefit of a microwave. Whoo. Elijah is, in a word, steamy.

In this third installment in the Nightwalkers series, the lycanthropes take center stage through Siena, the race's leonine queen. When Siena saves Elijah, the Demon Warrior Chief, from an attack by necromancers, he is nearly dead. She nurses him back to health, and in the process, the two are unable to fight their powerful attraction to one another. Unfortu...more

Another enjoyable read in Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker series.

Elijah, the 3rd book in the series, focuses on Elijah, the Warrior Captain of Demonkind. He sounds completely freakin' hot, of course, and the author spends a great deal of time talking about his looks, his body, his hair, his eyes, his muscles, and on and on.

Here's how it starts out: We start off inside Elijah's head, in his thoughts. He has obviously been gravely wounded in some kind of battle. We ascertain that this was a surpris...more

Elijah - the Demon King's Warrior Captain is a force to be reckoned with. He is a master of every weapon and a fierce protector of his people. He has never lost a fight, but when he is ambushed and left for dead by Necromancer's - he is discovered by the one woman who just might finish the job.

Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen, finds Elijah at the brink of death. She has done everything in her power since she's been on the throne to pacify the discord between her people and the demons. But the war be...more

Elijah (Nightwalkers Series #3) To Elijah's consternation, the Captain of the Demon Warriors, falls into a trap like a rookie. Left for dead, he's rescued by the woman who's been plaguing his dreams for the past half a year - Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen.

What starts as a nurse-patient situation, quickly escalates into something mush stronger, more potent, and inevitable as Fate, when the mutual attraction between them burst up into a conflagration of passion that cannot be denied.

Against all odd...more

Book three in the Nightwalkers series is the story of Elijah, Demon Warrior Captain extraordinaire, and Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen. See all those capitals in that sentence? That is what Jacquelyn Frank’s writing is like for me: emphatic, a little bigger than life, sometimes a little too important sounding, but at the same time quite fun. This audiobook made for an excellent weekend listen while I got on with the mundane tasks of life.

After almost losing his life in a trait...more

This is an interesting premise, an interesting universe. The characters even have some nice points. But I am afraid I just do not like Jacquelyn Frank's voice. She uses lots and lots of big words. while I have nothing against big words per se, when they're all piled together in one huge heap of wordiness, my head tends to explode, my eyes start to cross (worse than usual) and I start skimming. In this story, Elijah is a big, bad demon warleader who gets ambushed by traitor demons and human necro...more

I have simply fallen in love with this series. What an amazing world Jacquelyn Frank has weaved for us. It's just simply amazing. I LOVED Elijah. Who knew the man who would joke and laugh with Isabella was such a fierce lover? YUMMY! I also loved the way he adapted to a situation that NO ONE could have expected. Sienna, I think rubbed me a bit of the wrong way in the beginning but I loved her by the end.

The fight between the nightwalkers and the necromancers and hunters also heated up in this bo...more

I really wanted to give this book a 4 star rating. I enjoy the author and definitely enjoy the world she has created. I think it's different from other worlds about vampires and shapeshifters. However, I could only manage a 3 star rating for this one.

I enjoyed her first two books of the series tremendously. Elijah however, starts off very slowly. There's very little dialogue in the first couple chapters and if you haven't read the first two books I'm not sure you could understand it. You wouldn...more

For now, I like this series - each book is different from the previous one, no boredom and expected - except in some shades, because most of the characters running through all three parts.

This part of the story to me is the best so far. The story is exciting, tense, full of verbal, physical and psychological battles.

The main female character, Sienna, is finally a real main character, a woman strong character, clear priorities, aware of herselves and heres capabilities, realistically accepts and...more

The third book in the Nightwalker series featuring Elijah and Siena. Elijah is the captian of the Demon's warrior elite and Siena is the Queen of the shapeshifting nightwalkers. Out of context, this doesn't seem like such an odd pairing, until you learn that Elijah spent the better part of his life slaughtering the shapeshifters due to the war Siena's father started. They shouldn't be drawn together, but they are against even their own judgement. In the end, Destiny is never wrong.

The best so far! Where Gideon and Legna were level headed and romantic, Elijah and Sienna are spontaneous and smokin' hot! The Demon Warrior Captain and the Lycanthrope Queen are the Romeo and Juliet of the Nightwalker world and somehow just make perfect sense together! It was great to see these two come together despite of all the opposing forces standing in their way, they bring out the best in each other without sacrificing their individuality. The author flawlessly weaves the romance into th...more

As I delve deeper into the Nightwalker series I find myself further engrossed with the characters of the books. As I meet Jacob then Gideon and now Elijah I start to see that there is more than them than the passing glances you get in the books that are not centered around them and their mate. Elijah in the first two books was seen as an advanced fighter who uses humor to keep the bloodied tasks he has to deal with on a daily basis from driving him insane. A sardonic smile and a shrug of the s...more

Delightful Six

I've read this series from the end through the beginning and am now at the place where I began, book four. To begin any where other than the beginning(Jacob) is to cheat yourself of the warmth and fondness evoked by each of the characters. The overall story that brings varying species of nightwalkers together against oppressive pasts and a threatening present is enthralling. Once this series is begun, there will be no stops in between. In this series there are kings, queens, prince...more

Audiobook narrated by Xe Sands

Another in Frank's Nightwalker series enhanced by Xe Sands' rocking reading. The lycanthrope queen and demon warrior captain make for the most interesting and entertaining pair so far.

So, yeah, I'll be there for the next audio in this been-there-done-that series because I can't resist Sands and her fun with accents.

Greay job by Xe Sands with the narration of this book, finished it in a day, yes!it was that good! I'm parcial to this one, it's my favorite of the series, it was great to revisit on audio. I can't wait for Damein.

Incredibly bad. Apparently the answer to all life's problems is to turn into a puma out of stress. Out of milk? Puma! Someone cuts you off at the checkout? Puma! Argue with your boyfriend? Puma! Puma now!

I really enjoyed Elijah's story. Lots of action and romance. Strong hero and heroine. It also weaved in the three previous couples from the other books. I think this is the best story of the series so far!
