Jump Start Your Day With A Meaty Devotional Book -- While a lot of devotional books provide nice encouraging word for the day, Kay Arthur’s Lord, I Give You This Day provides powerful, deep thoughts for you to reflect upon and jump start your day in the right direction….all jam-packed within a one page daily devotional.

For example, April 14 starts off “Will your words and actions today reveal you to others as a man or woman of integrity and honesty?”. March 5th starts “Did you awaken this morni

This devotional is packed with religious inspiration, mixing brief readings of Biblical passages with prayers designed to reinforce spirituality throughout the day
Kay is down to earth and writes as such, making Biblical truth extremely easy to understand. She makes the point of the entry short, easy to read, easy to understand and easy to remember.
This devotional is offers encouragement to draw you in to your time with Christ, eager to ask the Spirit to work in your life today.

I really enjoyed referring to this book for daily reading. It was and continues to be a quick source of nourishment. I love how it uses Scripture, encouragement, and prayer consistently. The language is practical and simple. It's easy to grab a hold of the messages. The writing sounds familiar, comfortable. It would be a good go-to resource for any one looking to supplement their regular Bible reading.

I received this book free from the publisher through the Blogging for Books book review blogger

This devotional is not light and fluffy, but meaty and refreshing; calling you to maturity in Christ. Kay sticks to the facts, not opinions, pointing you as an arrow, ready to hit the mark, of obeying God's Word everyday. Incorporate this book as part of your quiet time and I believe that you will be positioned to be built up and strengthened in your faith. As you take in these daily doses of truth you will be challenged to evaluate yourself in the light of the gospel and realign your thinking a ...more
This is another great book from Kay Arthur. Anyone looking for a devotional will truly love this one.

Ms. Arthur brings you into a deeper relationship with God, helping you to discover what He has for you. Each devotion has a prayer, lots of scripture, and applicable readings to apply to your life.

The devotional is set up nicely, and would make a lovely gift for someone.

Because this is a daily devotional book, I'm still reading it. However, I have read numerous days devotions and find this book to be very thought-provoking. Kay Arthur uses scriptural references as well as personal (I presume) insight into topics of grace, forgiveness, our sin, etc. It's particularly helpful in my personal quiet times with God. The devotions are very easy to read and understand and I would recommend this to anyone seeking a daily relationship with Jesus.

I have been looking for a devotional that really speaks TO ME!

This is a really great devotional. The wording is to the point and very easy to understand.

I highly recommend this devotional! It would make a great present for Valentines Day, Easter, birthdays, or just a little something for someone you love!
I do like how she is positive, and upbeat at the beginning of each day, because we do need a pick me up in the mornings, along with our morning coffee. Check out the rest of my review: We're Jumpin' Books
Didn't flow as well as some of her other daily devotionals, but I was still encouraged.

“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances” (Ezekiel 36:26–27). When you come to God in genuine repentance, He gives you the kingdom of heaven by giving you the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is not only your guarantee of redemption; He is the very means of living righteously so you can enter God’s kingdom. Listen again to Ezekiel 36:27: “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” Here is the promise of God’s indwelling Holy Spirit, the Enabler who gives us the power to keep God’s laws and walk in obedience to His commandments. Here is the promise of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, the One who sets you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2), the One who gives you a new heart!
