A Moment’s Madness: A viking love story of rape and not-rape.

Wine pairing: Enough mead to numb the pain.

**So many spoilers and trigger warnings folks. So many**

A Moments Madness was exactly what I was experiencing when I picked this book up and didn’t burn it after the first chapter.

The plot is your standard Viking/Saxon based love story with the exception that the lady love is not a virgin. Progressive? No, just sad. She is the widow of an abusive husband who was killed in battle. But,
Picture of a guy with a sword in one hand and a maiden in the other on the back cover. I got suckered in.. Not bad as far as romances go. Just rather predictable and safe. The maiden's husband was an abusive berserker. I was looking forward to some fancy battle scene. Beware this is not Felix and Gotrek. =)
No, mi dispiace.
This book was a most frustrating read for me. I spent the majority of the time wishing that Sigrid would just shut up and let Liefwin complete a single sentence. Dealing with Sigrid felt like dealing with an annoying 6-year-old child - constant interruptions and then suppositions based upon ignorance. She had to get the last word in, despite her common background, her foreign enemy status, h ...more

Il finale di questo libro è molto romantico, ma per il resto è un rosa mdievale abbastanza violento, soprattutto il primo marito della protagonista che lei crede morto in battaglia e che invece si è salvato e torna per rivendicare i propri diritti è davvero

Helen Kirkman has always written stories - at home, at school, during the lunch break at her local government job, on the back of an envelope in a queue at the bank...

Her sister was the first audience for adventure stories inspired by "Ivanhoe" (knights in armour) "Robin Hood" (rogues) and Star Trek (where no man has gone before). Through each step in Helen's life - travelling, a university degre
