I won this.

When I first looked at the cover and the title.. I expected something less about sex. But the whole damn novella was full of it. And yeah, I'm calling it a novella. Be glad I don't call it simply "it".

Yet another story where I can't get how people give it a good rating. It was, basically, much sex.

(The story also felt much more like contemporary romance/erotica than anything else. The paranormal element, although being present and actually important, never really influenced the atmo...more

Maizie Hood Struggles to keep her bakery turning a profit, her landlord from evicting her, and her dear Granny in a nursing facility. Now her childhood big-bad-wolf-nightmares are turning into real life adult fantasies. Is sexy businessman Gray Lupo the answer to her problems, or just a wolf in gentleman's Armani?

Alison Paige's latest release Little Red and The Wolf was my first read of an Urban Fairy Tale, but my second read on Alison's. Having read Tame Horses Wild Hearts a few months ago I new that I had found a new author that I could follow and not be disappointed. I enjoy her writing style for one and appreciate her ability to give the reader just enough back story to understand the essence of the characters without overwhelming us to endless flashbacks. I for one am appreciative. In the story of "...more

Lil' Maize Hood has alot on her plate - running her bakery, supporting her Granny in a nursing home, and trying to stay one step ahead of the bill collectors. Maize has no time for a man in her life but something about Gray Lupo calls to her naughty side. Gray also feels the stirrings of emotion and heat whenever he sees Maize. Whenever he thinks about Maize he literally can't keep his hands off himself which leads to several very hot fantasy scenes, in his limo, in the shower, and while having...more

I am always intrigued by 'grown up' versions of my favorite fairy tales; that being said, this book was really awesome! It was well written, the story was unique and had a great twist on Little Red Riding Hood. It had some great smexy scenes as well as a few LOL moments. I especially liked how the author wrote Maizie's pov after her first change. I have yet to read a werewolf story that has it detailed in the freshly changed wolfs view. I just thought that was pre...more

Werewolves.

I'm not very familiar with werewolves.. but it really doesn't bother the storyline.

This was a weird little love story. There was a Granny, a Red Riding Hood, and a Big Bad Wolf.

Granny and the Wolf are in cahoots. Big Bad Wolf is just trying to protect his pack.

Little Red's trying to take care of her Granny and her floundering Bakery biz.

Big Bad Wolf has it all covered.

Blah, blah, blah... sex, sex... There was a bit of chick-on-chick stuff that certainly wasn't there for my benef...more

This book started off pretty good but towards the middle it began to take a quick route to trashville. The ending was anti climatic and big let down. I found that I had to force myself to finish the book. The Only good thing was the sex scenes which were pretty steamy but outside of that there was no plot or no real understanding of how the characters felt for one another. All in all this book felt like you're having sex with a hot guy about to achieve the big O and all of a sudden total disappo...more

I loved SO much about the book: the characters and the plot were cool, but there are a couple scenes that really bugged me. One was a lesbian scene that came out of the blue and had no follow up in terms of the character involved. Before that there was a small scene with a sister in law-the main character pleasuring her because he was the alpha-even though he had no interest in her at all sexually. It just seemed to me an awkward addition to the story.

The odd thing is I really did love the book...more

This book is up in my favorites. I got it at the library not really expecting much. The cover looked interesting but I expected something cheesy and not as great as it actually was.

By the time I was done the first chapter I was hooked, and when I finished, this was close to my expression description

The romance was engrossing and the sex scenes were strangely hot, considering...well, I don't want to spoil it. Lets just say it surprised me what kind of thing I can find arousing. description

It was also extremely romanti...more

An erotic take on Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf in this novel by Ms. Paige.
Granny has a cottage in the woods that is at risk between two men that visit her - one very dangerous Mr. Gray Lobo, another pretending to be her dead father, at the center Maizie "Red" Hood. The property sits next to the animal santuary owned by Mr. Lobo, which her parents were killed and his wife in the form as a wolf. As the story unfolds there is no mistake how it turns out - a crazy outplay on the "family pac...more

I don't usually want to rate something with half stars, but I do with this book. If we had half-stars I'd bump it to 3 1/2 stars. Not quite good enough for 4 stars.

A paranormal romance retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. *g* I'm not sure there is much else to say about it plot wise. Liked the characters, decent plot, just missing some spark, I think.

I think the most exciting scene was when Maizie (aka Little Red) almost got a blow job from the wolf, before she realized he was a werewolf, not a...more

All i'm saying is OMG,I'm not much of a reader but this book opened an interest in me i didn't think i had. The way the whole book started caught my interest and it was hard to put down its really really steamy. I mentioned to a friend that if she reads this book she will have to have someone lined up to satisfy the urges that will be awoken in oneself.

I thought this eread was so entertaining. I like werewolves and enjoy when writers tell parts of the story from the furry perspective. Ms. Paige wrote such cute scenes regarding Little Red's transistion and her encounter with Gray in the woods. The scene where Little Red was in the cottage and Gray kept sniffing up her dress was priceless. I found myself smiling and giggling throughout this book. The dialogue was hot and sweet. The sex scenes were scorching. I've never wanted to watch a guy "fid...more

Disjointed, unbelievable in not good ways, like a why would ANY one of semi sane mind not question certain things, or put up with other things or have some inkling of what was going on. Weird cause you could sense the authors innate storytelling ability but it didnt come through.

it was weird. It wasn't the changeling thing that bothered me. (I love the psy-changeling series...even if it is a little off)I think it was the age difference. I know that sounds stupid. Love the Nook Lend me books. Good thing cousin and I read similar smut. ;)

It was definitely an interesting read even though at time I was pulled out of the story. I liked the characters though the way some of them were written left something to be desired. The plot was simple and it felt forced at times, but as a whole, it was a pleasant read.

Overdone Little Red Riding Hood metaphor (the "Big Bad Wolf" is named Gray Lupo), werewolf politics that make Laurell K. Hamilton's look well-thought-out, criminal overuse of phrases like "big guy hands" and "purely male," but really hot sex.

I am having a difficult time writing this review. Little Red and the Wolf was a likeable book and sexy as hell! However, I was somewhat irritated by the "in your face" references to the fairy tale. For example, one of the main characters is name Gray Lupo ( the gray wolf)and the Little Red riding hood is actually called "Little Red." I think a little sublety would have been nice. Also, while I enjoy reading about a good ramp in the hay as anyone, the sex was often too in your face at times. The...more

Annoying language, especially during steamy scenes... Read it because it seemed to be a nice story, adult red riding hood and wolf, too bad it didn't live up to my (not so high) expectation.

Mixed bag for me. Although I perceived the plot as too long and kind of rambling, I really enjoyed the second half of the book. Paige's writing is imaginative and fun.
