Recommends it for: Jewish folks, students of Judaism & folklore
this is just a gorgeous book...

the illustrations throughout it are little re-printings taken from the original wood-cut illustrations of the "Minhagbuch"(sp) that this book was inspired by....

the book is set up as a month-to-month guide to the Jewish year with all special festivals touched upon here and there.. not "exhuastive", i still would consider it more than just a brief "overview".. very useful.

Fascinating look at Jewish practices of several hundred years ago and gave me a great deal more detail about the goat.
