I got this book because I was interested in the story of GNU/Linux and other open-source software, but it also had a great deal of information on the copyright battles going on in the US from the late 1990's until the 2000's.

As always, the story of open-source and free software is amazing. The book gives a decent background on the things that happened along the way to where we are now, a world where people use Blogs, Wikipedia, etc.

Really enjoyed the book. Excellent intro to the digital commons/creative commons world. There are a few things missing, but the book is comprehensive informative and fair. Plus you can get a free copy online published under creative commons!
History of the "information commons" movement from an insider's perspective. Accessible starting point to the topic and plenty for more experienced readers to digest.
Started this a long while back, and finally skim finished it.
