While I have some big doctrinal differences with the author, I still found this book to be compelling and helpful in considering the ways we, as women, uniquely influence the church. Particularly interesting were the fictionalized stories of the women from scripture. You have to be careful not to take the fiction too seriously, but I do find that reading these things as stories helps make the people more realistic to me. I recommend it as a supplement to Bible study, though, not as a replacement ...more
I really enjoyed reading this book and found I could really relate to some of the stories in the book, however, the style in which the book is written is not my favorite style.Also I dont really like that so much of the book are made up stories rather than direct discussion on what the bible actually says. that is why my rating is only 3 stars. ...more
