I was hooked on this book before I even opened up its pages (I am a big fan of Audrey Hepburn). I was really hooked when I opened up the contents page and read which famous friends were highlighted -- Audrey Hepburn & Sophia Loren, Julie Andrews & Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball & Vivian Vance, and Lauren Bacall & Katharine Hepburn to name my favorites. It was surprising to me to discover the friendships within these pages. I would've never guessed Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren to be friends nor Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett. Getting Along Famously is as it looks: short and glossy. There wasn't much depth to it. It is more magazine interview style than hardcore biography, but that's okay.
