Recommends it for: everyone who is curious about how their body is intergrated
I have just begun to study this book and am very excited with what I find. I teach people anatomy of movement, body mapping and how our thinking determines how we move. This volume provides illustrations from CT scans, MRI and x-ray along with three dimensional color diagrams. The text accurately describes how our bodies work. It discusses and illustrates every system and is easy to follow and understand. I recommend it to anyone who is curious about how we are designed and also what can go awry ...more

My son was super excited to get this book from the library. He spent a good deal of the day looking at it and reading different parts. Unfortunately it then gave him nightmares. He came to me crying that he does not like the inside of his body etc etc.
So the book is going back to the library.
And my son will probably not grow up to be a doctor...

This is an excellent book for readers of all ages from 1st grade to adulthood. If a younger reader reads this, I would suggest some parent guidance. The illustrations are excellent. For anyone wanting to know about the internal structures of the body, this is a perfect book. It is a great book to use for a unit about health or the body.
