Excellent coverage of the wire and bead jewelry techniques, from tools and materials through step by step processes, with clear photos throughout. The finished examples are Celtic inspired and very attractive. Some are modern remakes of actual museum pieces, others are fanciful creations that use spirals and geometric shapes drawn from such sources as the Book of Kells (a famous medieval illuminated codex.)

This is a really beautiful book of Celtic-inspired jewelry. The only thing is...I think a beginner might become intimidated by the process of creating the jewelry. I was! However, I would like to try some of the projects after I become a bit more comfortable working with beads and string first.
