Fans of the television program Alien Nation should love this book. The cliff hanger ending of the series is used as a frame for flashbacks from the week before the descent through the first few days of the Tenctonese on Earth. There were a couple of interesting surprises but authors did an excellent job of incorporating the series canon.
I loved the Alien Nation TV show, which was cancelled after only one season, and on a huge cliffhanger. So it was very exiting when they published a few novels based on the series. Most of them were novelizations of the 4 screenplays that had been written but not filmed (including the conclusion to the cliffhanger) and were eventually made into tv movies. But this one was not.
