A few years ago at a three-hour long Best of Fence anthology reading in Chicago where I read with 40 other poets—a recent Pulitzer Prize winner among us—K. Silem Mohammad performed some of these Sonnagrams, and afterwards the non-poet with me said, “the guy who read those Shakespeare anagrams was definitely the best.” We both knew he was right.
