I use to read this book when I longed for romance. I don't typicaly read overly romantic books. But this one showed me somethings that could help my daydreams.

As with the other books in this trilogy, I found that the purple prose and author's excessively fanciful writing style really took away from an otherwise important story.

Absolutely trite and predictable - no redeeming qualities....

In this the second book of the trilogy we focus on Ailsa, our Scottish born sister. Again Kathryn transports you into the story with the most amazing story telling, setting the scene, and talking from the heart of her characters. So beautifully written, and such an emotional story. Even when there is sadness, there is light. It's hard to describe. I can't recommend this book/trilogy enough.

The only reason this book got one star is that there are no negative star ratings possible. I didn't finish it - 137 pages was all that I could take of the purplest of prose. This lady culled the dictionary for every romantic descriptive word she could find and used them all. Wouldn't have been so bad if the story or characters had the least bit of interest.

Eva Crawford reaches out across a 100 years to learn of her family and the secrets of Glen Affric. Sequel to Too Deep for Tears. Just as moving as the first book, the reader is returned to the wild and haunting beauty of Glen Affric to learn what happened to Ian Fraser and Ailsa Sinclair, and their families. One of my favorite and most worn books.

A wonderful story

This book held me captive. The story is full of intrigue and romance, set in the Highlands. With I hint of the strife between Scot and English, I can't wait to start the next one.

The setting of this book takes place in Scotland switching from the late 1800s to the present. It is a very good book. I would like to read it again. A man has a soul mate and wife.
