Erotic Horizon
I am making another journey to the Pelham Bay society and this time it’s a mix bag for me. STARDUST is another book that the blurb literally sums up a lot of the book.

After a few years of lusting after his co-worker, Gordon Flanders watches in silence as Dennis Wilson lust after his own teenage crush - movies star Ben Ryder himself.

With both men working in the emergency services, as luck would have it they find themselves in a position to help said movie star out of a rather embarrassing situati...more

Stardust goes a bit against the flow of the previous 3 books since it’s not a story of a first love never forgotten, but it’s more the story of a man that has to realize that a teenager love sometime is not the same when you are an adult.

Gordon is in love with Ben, the first boy he had sex with when they were in high school together; but it’s a feeling that is not mutual, even if Gordon doesn’t realize it: Ben left New York City for Los Angeles to pursue his acting career and he is not a big sh...more

Intriguing story, but it didn't last as long as I wanted it to

Rating: 6/10

PROS:
- Dennis’s devotion to Gordon, his best friend who at times is so selfish I wanted to kick him, is touching. (see cons below also)
- I love the idea of a guy realizing that the crush he’s always had isn’t right for him and the unassuming friend by his side IS right for him. (see cons below also)

CONS:
- Dennis’s devotion to Gordon is also a little...more

I really love this series. All of them are short, simple books that pack just enough punch to give you a satisfying story but also not take long to read. I loved Dennis and Gordon (although I did hate Gordon for a really long time because of how completely stupid he was being and how starry-eyed he was. Ugh) He came around, though, and made everything better. I'm curious as to when the next in the Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay series will be released. I definitely recommend them if you are look...more

It's a sort of cliché formula of not realizing that the one you need is the one you're taking for granted. But sometimes cliché works, right? I really like Dennis's character here. The best friend. The side kick. While Gordon ... ehm, I can't really form judgment over this short story. But I guess since Dennis loves him, he might be worth it :)

These m/m romances are decent reads and remind me quite a bit of a Carol Lynne series. The Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay are a group of extremely cynical guys who'd given up on love and get together to bitch and moan about fools who believe in love. Then the bartender issues them a challenge...
