This is one series I never got a chance to read growing up, I was already into Pony Pals and Thoroughbred and Heartland and Phantom Stallion...but being as it was such a popular series, I am curious about it. I watched the first to seasons of the television series a couple weeks ago and enjoyed them despite the young age group (Max isn't bad to look at either ;D) I mean, I cried when Cobalt died and when Veronica sold Garnet and when Comanche got sick and was nearly shot after he got away from S

Lisa new at pine hallow, Carol and Stevie thinks
that she does not have what takes of riding a horse. so Stevie has bad grades so her mom wont let her go to the over night trip if she does not pull up her grades. So Stevie tries to get a new job and she gets one vacuuming a pool and cleaning gutters.

For many years, this was my absolute favorite series of books (and tv show), I was completely obsessed, and I still have about 40 of the books sitting on my shelf. I want to re-read The Saddle Club someday, because I have very fond memories of it <3

I read this series when I was younger and I would highly recomend it to little girls who love horses. I read all 101 books in this series and loved every single one! It teaches you alot about horses and friendship.

This was one of my favorite books... cant really remember what it wes about but i think it is about this horse that gets shy and runs away from the saddle club.

I read this to Tia... who didn't seem too interested in it. She didn't want me to stop reading it though. Probably because her older sisters are reading it.

Growing up as a horse crazy city girl, the Saddle Club series quickly became one of my favorite reads in elementary and middle school.

This book is good, although the fact that Lisa is just naturally good at riding right away is kind of unrealistic. Otherwise, a good book!

A good series for horse crazy young teens. I loved it when I was younger.

When I was younger, girls under twelve read books about horses, not vampires.

I used to really like the saddle club. The books are okay, but I read no more than 10 of them (this series has like 100+ books!). Since I read only a few, I liked them, but if I had read more than they would have gotten too repetive for my taste.

This is a great series for young girls and definitely turned me into a horse obsessed preteen. I loved the series and it will always remain a part of my childhood.

when i was much much younger, i read almost the entire series of these books, and i know i liked them all. these books probably would be far from thrilling to me now, but as a child they were great reads! i dont think im going to take the time to rate the entire series here, but instead i will rate this one book as a signifier of the whole series.

I definitely got into the high 90s with this series. I loved the amount of horse stuff in the books. I identified mostly with Stevie, but also a lot with Carole (her love of horses was just absolute). I had trouble with some of the books that focused on Lisa because I felt she was too much like my little sister (very perfectionist).

Great book that includes matter of friendship, horses, and riding. This is a sweet book and series about horses, not very deep, or intense, but it prepares you for it.
The TV show is good, too, and a lot more intense,
If you want an intense series try Chestnut Hill, or Heartland.

I remember reading a lot of this series, but not all of them. This was a series where I thought was kind of young (even though I was young at the time I was reading it!!) but I kept reading because I liked the parts with horses.

As a pre-teen rider myself, I loved this series. Eventually I outgrew it, but for a while there I gobbled down every Saddle Club book I could get my hands on. I can remember eagerly waiting for the next one to be published...

Yes, I read and loved these books! What's nice is they are clean and fun--honestly better written and more wholesome than a lot of "Christian" books for young people.

These books are the kind of book you read when you have nothing better to read. They're good to read when you need something to do, but not the greatist.

I read all of The Saddle Club....yes there is over 100 of them! I started when I was 10 and I read them until the series ended.
