'The Quiet Road' is the story of Frankford Lucas, a Chief Superintendent within the Police Force, Frankford has worked hard to become Chief Superintendent and wants to keep his job for as long as possible, he is very aware of how many people are waiting for his job.

Frankford's story begins with a dream, a dream he has had throughout his life, a dream of 'The Quiet Road', a place that he always thought as good and a place of safety, this changes, however, because when he dreams of The Quiet Road

A quiet road. Innocuous, right? Safe, even. Familiar.

Wrong, wrong, oh so very wrong.

Annie Frame’s The Quiet Road introduces the reader to Frankford Lucas, a Chief Superintendent in the police force. He has no family, other than a cat, Old Whiskey, but is well respected and well thought of in his profession. He has also has an amazing lucky streak, being able to climb the ranks of the police force not only because of his skill and determination, but also bec

The quiet Road is a definite spine chiller. It took me quite some time to read, simply because I wanted to take my time savouring every detail. I was intrigued from the start and was quickly engaged in the story. Annie Frame has done a fantastic job writing this book, it is beautifully written and extremely well thought out. I was genuinely creeped out by alot of the things in this book, everything in it was believable to me and not over done or forced.

The story follows Frankford Lucas, who is

This book was good not great for me but still good. I think that the book has a good story line but maybe needs to focus more on just a couple areas as it seems to go off in too many directions. There is a bit of everything in this book, you have spirits, demonic possession, murder and mystery. I felt that I could have done without some of the characters and things that happened as I didn't get enough of a background and details on the characters as I needed to get a real good feel for them. ...more

I loved Annie's first book Imprint. Her second book did not fail to disappoint, I read this book in one day I could not put it down. Anne Frame writes from a personal knowledge base but invites the reader to be open minded and does not asked to be believed.

The story is written from the perspective of the main character Frankford Lucas a chief superintendent in the police the setting is London. You feel as if you are getting to know him as basically a solitary man who likes his own company and fe

Oh wow what a book. From the minute I opened this book up it was one I couldn't put down. When I did put it down this book left me wondering what was going to happen next. That is one thing I really look for. Annie defiantly captured and took off running with that threw out this book. I was glued to every page I turned.

What kind of animal would brutally kill all these people and why? That is what Frankford Lucas is going to find out. Threw the help of profile Lenny Docker and a clairvoyant mediu
