First rate! Hilarious and cute! On a level with the first book. The story continues as the Yamadas have to deal with the very real situation that they can't keep hiding Chi in their no-pets-allowed apartment for much longer. Chi expands and deepens his friendship with the troublemaker, Blackie the Cat. Blackies first appearance didn't endear him to me but after this volume, I've grown attached to him as we learned a lot more about his ways and feelings. Kanata really captures some truly hilariou ...more

Oh, the emotions!

I think this was my favorite Chi collection so far! The first two books were adorable, but mostly very episodic and sweet without much substance. This one starts to have more of a concrete story ('s kind of a relationship story rather than an actiony sort of story). The landlord is on the hunt for cats living in the building, and Chi may be in danger!

This volume in particular does an excellent job of exploring the relationship between cats and humans (and cats and other cats), and you
This is the third book in the Chi’s Sweet Home series. This is a wonderful manga series that is very funny and very cute. This is a wonderful series for all ages and great for those who love cats and their antics.

This is the most heart-wrenching book of the series. Chi makes a new friend in the neighbor cat Blackie, but the superintendent has finally caught up with Blackie and threatens to evict his owners. This whole event really forces the Yamada family to decide whether or not they will keep

The Cute is still too much to handle, but it's becoming just as much about the story as it is The Cute, and that's really impressing me right now. It's still cute as anything I've read, but there were a couple scenes that were just completely heartwrenching, which is such a great sign. LOVE THIS.
My niece and I both liked Volume 3 of Chi's Sweet Home, and I fell in love with Blackie, Chi's cat mentor and friend. I do hope to see Blackie appear in future volumes, because he really adds something to Chi's life and to these stories!

I have to call the dentist - sweetness overload!!

Full review to follow. Miya!
This is probably my favorite book in the series so far! This one focuses more on the relationships (cat/cat and cat/human) and the problem of keeping Chi a secret in a "pet free" apartment. Full of cute, adorable and emotional moments it's a fun book to page through. I liked Chi's relationship with Blackie (aka the Bear-Cat) and was sad to see him go (but look forward to his return). I also enjoyed seeing Chi's impact on her human family as they struggle with the possibility of having to say goo ...more

Children's Comic

Chi is a mischievous newborn kitten who, while on a leisurely stroll with her family, finds herself lost. Separated from the warmth and protection of her mother, feels distraught. Overcome with loneliness she breaks into tears in a large urban park meadow., when she is suddenly rescued by a young boy named Yohei and his mother. The kitty is then quickly and quietly whisked away into the warm and inviting Yamada family apartment...where p
Hi friends,

I read this book and I really enjoyed it because the Chi was really cute. I am going to tell you about this cat name Chi and she lived with this family called the Yamadas. They can’t tell anyone about Chi because they live in an apartment that doesn’t allow animals and if the people know about Chi, the Yamadas will either have to move or do something to Chi. Chi was really cute and and she met this black bear cat and was hanging around with him a lot. One day, the people found out abo

Chi's new friend, Kuro the bear-cat, teaches Chi how to act more like a cat and less like a human. They go on many adventures together, catching the landlord's attention. They nearly get captured multiple times. Sadly, Kuro is eventually caught by the landlord and he and his owner are forced to move away. Chi's family decides to move as well in order to keep Chi with them.

Recommends it for: children who enjoy reading graphic novels
In this third volume of Chi's story, I'm starting to get invested in the characters. I like the big black cat especially, and I do hope that he returns in a later edition, although the author states it won't be in Volume 4. I thought it was interesting that the story pays homage to another manga artist, Risa Ito, within the story. And while the story is still overly-cute, I am looking forward to reading the next book.
I liked the little stories between Chi and the brown-bear cat and also I got lil sad when they had to move away with Chi's friend.
It's still on the same level from volume 1. Funny, adorable and very light.

The newest English enstallment, and it's still as adorable, although Chi is actually growing! Her memory is developing and the story is taking the turn for the more mature, she is after all (in kitten perspective) a rambunctious teenager. I enjoy the fact that she has stopped adding 'w' to almost all words just a little less than the maturity of the stories with Blackie. It was bittersweet, and very believable. Also, the Takanada's are moving next issue! Sounds like new cute adventures will be i ...more
J'ai encore plus aimé ce troisième tome que les précédents, je l'ai trouvé très touchant. C'est vivant, on est pris dans l'histoire.
Reading this is like eating some super-sweet candy that after awhile hurts your teeth but is still totally addictive. These books are simply TOO cute with an adorable little kitten having little adventures with a big neighbor cat and his charming family while trying to stay hidden in the family's no pet's allowed apartment building. Nothing much actually happens, but there are a lot of humorous little details in the art and a very sweet, warm sense of the happy family. I would give this to young ...more
Monica encaaanta el gato negro!!!!
especial mención a los capítulos 51 y 52, super bonitos!!
Chi gets into more mischief. The girls enjoyed this story.
We continue our journey with Chi the lost cat that was found by a family living in an apartment that does not allow cats! Chi has made friends with the "bear-cat" who is teaching him how to be a cat. On one of their outing the super catches they cats and chases them, unfortunately they lead the super to the apartment of the larger cat's owners. They have to move and Chi is once again alone. Chi faces eviction with or without her new family, what will happen, will chi find a new home with a new f ...more

Funny little cat :3 A 1h read, loving it!
chi is adorable and i loved the bear cat

This is so sweet it might be dangerous. The art is a cross of Cathy Guisewite and manga w/a Hello Kitty vibe.

Chi is a kitty and has simple eight page adventures w/an older cat, its owner and others. The stories are about opening a screen door, playing w/a paperball, being photographed etc. i couldn't finish it. But the first to third grade crowd that finds Lunch Lady too intense will love it.

For what it is and its audience, 4 of five stars, in color
4.5/5 stars ~ SO CUTE! Whereas the first two volumes were about Chi discovering new things and getting used to her new home (where pets aren't allowed) but had no overall plot, this volume had more direction and built-up to the family having to consider either giving Chi away or moving so she could stay part of the family. Can't wait to find out what happens in the next volume! I hope Chi sees Blackie again someday ^^
