This is a very readable book newly published in 2010, but I have to start off by saying I don't think the title really has very much to do with the story. Of all the historical romances I have read, I think this is one that is completely mis-named. It is a love story wrapped in a very well-developed murder mystery. Julia Latham is a past-master at writing stories couched in the Medieval period and this story is no departure from her past achievements. I just think the title is designed to see bo ...more
This sounds like a dirty love novel, but isn't. It is a romance murder story. Not bad but NOT for young kids either.
