Wandering Reader
Very short sweet story about a low heat attraction between two officers during an air raid. Told in third person, the conversations between the two are poetic, yet convey their mutual attraction, fear of what the bombs may bring and a live now, time is short feel.

Enchanting. It has a bit of a fairy-tale feel to it, the 'almost-could-be-love-if-only...' in a way that is absolutely ZERO angst [which is extremely rare, in my opinion:].

The characters could have been fleshed out a bit more, as could the background of the story, but for 15 pages, Cocharne did amazingly well with what she had.

Just beautiful, and a tug at the heart for what could be.

As Charlie Cochrane couldn't be trusted to do any of her jobs of choice - like managing a rugby team - she writes. Her favourite genre is gay fiction, predominantly historical romances/mysteries, but she's making an increasing number of forays into the modern day. She's even been known to write about gay werewolves - albeit highly respectable ones.

Her Cambridge Fellows series of Edwardian romantic
