Sultry Singer vs. Sexy Football Player

I enjoyed the matchmaking schemes of the two lovable, yet meddlesome grandmothers. Despite the constant bickering that went on between their grandchildren, they could see the potential for a “perfect match”. Ms. Washington crafts a sweet, humorous and spicy read. The STEAMY intimacy is definitely HOT, HOT, HOT. I found myself LOL at the “high school-like” banter and antics between Caesar Morrison and Vivian Desmond. The witty dialogue and amusing storyline m
3.5 actually. Starts off slow as molasses but picked up at 20% mark. Strictly adheres to the romance formula. I didn't feel the conflict was significant enough to keep them apart but alas I rarely do. Caesar was a pretty cool gut but Viv was super uptight for no good reason. The grannies manipulated them pretty well.

AlTonya Washington has been a romance novelist for 12 years. She's the winner of two Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Awards and recently won the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award for Best Steamy Romance of 2014. She lives in North Carolina and works as a College Reference Librarian.
