Having read the first book, outlining Sawyer and Morgan pairing off, I was anxious to see what was in store for Gabe and Jordan. The first book dealt with Gabe and Elizabeth, a red head with mental issues and obsession with heroes. Heart throb Gabe finds himself with a woman who is not chasing or swooning over him, falls in love with her, admits it but Elizabeth doesn't admit it to him. He gets down over his inability to win her confession but in the end, Gabe is the next brother to marry. The l ...more

I loved Sawyer's book and couldn't wait to get Gabe and Jordan's stories. Unfortunately either I was missing pages on my kindle or these two stories should have been novellas.

Basically this is how I feel. Enough said.

Where to start...I loved Gabe right from Sawyer and Morgan's books! As the carefree brother who "doesn't work", Gabe is the quintessential Goodtime Boy. But there is a deeply loving and tender side to him. Not to mention, Gabe, like Sawyer/Morgon/Jordon, is very affectionate and very hands-on. I loved their family connection and I loved that Gabe shared it with Lizzy so freely.

Elizabeth was not as prickly as the book description implies. She actually is a sweet, lost soul that only wants to lea

This book is 2 complete books in one. Had I read them separately the rating would have been different. The Gabe book would have been a 2, while the Jordan book would have been a 4.

My big issue with Gabe's book was Gabe. From the first book he has been described as a ladies man, that all the women fall all over him and have done so since he was a teen, and he seemed to revel in the notoriety. When he meets Elizabeth he seems to scoff at her and discount her because she doesn't fall down at his fe

I mentioned before that I read this mini-series when they were first released, however I had never read Jordan's story. So I was looking forward to reading it finally.

Once again these are two very steamy stories, but just a little too 'good' for me. These brothers are seriously too good to be true, I need more flaws! Perhaps I am too used to reading Presents that my taste in heroes tender to err on the side of brooding-angry-alpha goodness.

There is something that has bugged me about all four of

Too much story and not enough smut. I like a good storyline for sure, but when I choose to read a book with a half nekkid dude on the front, I expect it to have a decent amount of naughtiness as well. There was an imbalance between plot and hot and steamy scenes.

Gabe: 2 stars
Jordan: 2 Stars but with the wierdest cliffhanger style ending that didn't really seem to fit with the rest of the story

Gabe -

I’ll start these reviews off by saying that I’ve enjoyed Isabelle Gordon’s narration job on this series. She does a great job with both the male and female voices. She has a husky yet silky voice that lends well to both genders. She also does a really nice country accent for the characters. I’m a little sad to see that the last book in the series about Swayer’s son will not on audio. But I will be reading it. Ok now on to the stories…..

We’ve all read the story about the beauty and the geek

GABE:

The first story is about Gabe, it's short, sweet, and easy to follow. But it's lacking a lot of emotion of course I'm not denying the story of her mother but everything came so quickly. I did enjoy the "fire" scene because it was something to throw in the mix when the book had no action. I loveddddd hearing about honey's news but I wasn't happy Casey wasn't in the book. I honestly didn't think the story was that great to come up with. Little far fetched that some red head with hair a mile l

We get a two in one in this continuation of Lori Foster’s Buckhorn series. Let’s start with the cover. Yum, can I say hotness overload?! (that is called an interrobang! Get it? Interrobang, haha) Images of muscle-bound men on a book cover make me a very happy girl.

Gabe, the youngest of the brothers from Buckhorn, falls for a college student (Elizabeth) who is determined to frame him as a hero. I really related to ‘Lizzy’ because she is just a college student trying to complete her thesis while I

This is the second book in the Buckhorn series and it actually includes two stories tht were originally published individually (Gabe and Jordan). I shouldn't have liked this book, the storyline has been used in countless Harlequin books... But I did, I really did like both stories. I think that the magic was how well Lori Foster builds the anticipation of the couple's first encounter. She's pretty intense writing that build up and she does not disappoint because her couples have amazing chemist

Lori Foster has yet to let me down. No matter what series I am reading I am instantly hooked!!

Gabe and Jordan did not disappoint. I thought based on the previous books that Gabe might be a little self centered because of how women fall at his feet. However he came off as very humble, he didn't want to have Elizabeth do her thesis on him. He felt he didn't do anything no other person would have done. He knew that women drooled over him but he didn't use it against any of the women, he never led a

These characters have grown on me since Buckhorn Beginnings. I like that they are grouped together and that I've been able to read them so close in sequence. Had I had to read them apart from each other, I think I would have been tormented, especially with the timing of the relationships.

The banter of the characters, even though they aren't fully related, reminds me a bit of both Maya Banks' Kelly boys (KGI series) and Lorelei James' Rough Riders. All Alpha Male and pull sex. And how they love t

This book was so awesome ,both stories were so so good.

Gabe is so funny i just fell in love with him from the begining ,i loved seeing him interact with Lizzy it was just great ,they are so different but they just make the perfect couple, great story.

Jordan is such an interesting character that i was so happy that i got to know him more in this story ,I loved seeing him be a total cave-man with Georgia ,it was just so funny since he had never acted like that before ,great plot i was really happy

Gabe- 1/2 star...The worst of the series so far. Lots of telling, no character development. Gabe was a creep and Elizabeth was written so childlike that their "romance" was uncomfortable to read after he practically molested her with that aloe. And the benevolent sexism in these books always rankles but to have a female character say "they are sexiest but in a nice way" was just too much.

Jordan- 1 1/2 stars...Better than Gabe but still with the telling and lack of development. Georgia came off a

This is a two part book covering the two youngest Buckhorn men.

Gabe the baby of the family has the laid back life enjoying helping others in his community. However, Elizabeth Parks finds one or his tasks to be heroic. The only way he will agree to give her info is in exchange for kisses. Her kisses are intoxicating arousing Gabe to want more than kisses

Jordan, looking only for a woman of virtue to go along with this gentle veterinarian, rescuer of Strays persona he has going. So why would he fee

Another good book by Lori Foster. I really liked Elizabeth and her story with Gabe. I really liked Gabe in the first two books in the series and was excited to read his story. He was a bit obnoxious at the start of his story, but he grew on me as it went on. Jordan was always my favorite brother and I liked that he was the last story. I loved how he interacted with Georgia's kids and the dynamic between Georgia and Jordan's family was great. My only let down was that you never got to see Jordan ...more

Everything, especially women, came easy to Gabe Kasper. He is a lovable fun man not ready to settle down. Rather he wasn't until Elizabeth Parks showed up wanting to interview Gabe for her college thesis. As the pages turn, Gabe realizes he has the best job of all. And if the shy redhead is willing, Elizabeth will too.

Jordan Sommerville was tired of all the accidents happening. So he, along with others, decide to visit the bar owner. Georgia Barnes does what she needs to do in order to provide f

Two words...guilty pleasure. This is a 3.5 star book at best that I am generously rounding up to 4 stars simply because, while the story and writing were not the strongest and clearly follow formulaic romance patterns, I loved it all nonetheless, and now feel compelled to read all the other brothers stories. I simply can't help myself. The men are literally perfect; problem number one and the best part at the same time. I rolled my eyes at the countless times the word sexy was used in this book, ...more

Gabe

I have to say I was kind of disappointed with this story. Firstly, it was an overdone theme: the super hot carefree playboy and the starchy, unknowingly sexy bookworm. But mostly it bothered me how Gabe seemed embarrassed to be attracted to her. Like, whatever. I expected a little more from the Buckhorn boys. I just never find it very plausible that a woman who has spent 20+ years of her life being bookish and shy just suddenly lets her hair down, throws her virginity out the window on a whi

2 contemporary novellas with protected sex in both.

Loved both of them! I was expecting a 3 star story like I gave the first 2, but Gabe & Jordan surprised me.

With Gabe you get a fun story about him falling for an uptight, prim virgin. Not his usual flavor of the week. There's a back story about her mother, but all in all, it's just a fun read.

Jordan is looking for a nice, respectable girl to settle down with. Not Georgia, who is a waitress/exotic dancer at a dive across the county line.

Forever Buckhorn: Gabe\Jordan (Buckhorn Brothers 3 & 4) by Lori Foster
I really enjoyed Buckhorn Beginnings, Sawyer and Morgan’s stories and was looking forward this next book with Gabe and Jordan’s tale. I think I liked this book even more than the first. First of all these two brothers are more likeable to start with. Gabe is the local heartthrob and Jordan is the smooth talking vet. Their matches are their total opposites. For Gabe we get the shy virgin and for upstanding tea-totaling Jor

Another good story! I really liked the contrast with Gabe and Lizzy. I was wondering how she was going to make that story interesting...it was good.
Loved Jordan and Georgia. Very odd pairing..complete opposites in a sense but liked their chemistry. It was nice getting to know Jordan better.
Not sure yet how I feel about reading Casey's book. She lead into it well but he's so young. Hmm..I'll read it because I love her writing style and this is a great family but this age thing..LOL!

I've been a fan of Lori Foster's books since my mom got hooked on her audiobooks. By sheer luck I ran across the Buckhorn series discounted for Kindle and picked up these first two bundles and I'm so gald I did. I have really enjoyed them. Normally I wouldn't read two books by the same author back to back, but she does such a good job of dovetailing them together. Now I'm dyeing to read Casey's story! I haven't gotten a deal on that one yet though so I'm going to try to stick to my guns and hold ...more

OK, as I mentioned in my short but sweet review of Once and Again, these brothers are hilarious and continue to be .... However, Gabe has just won the number one spot for me in his story. It was beyond cute and sweet God, who wouldn't just LOVE Elizabeth!
The one thing that both Gabe and Jordan had in common in their stories, which I LOVED btw, was how far-fetched, for their characters, their love interests were.....Playboy with a virgin and quiet as a mouse with a pole dancer? How could you poss

Another great series by Lori foster huge fan....although liked Sawyer and Morgan in buckhorn beginnings more, this sequel is good. Very sexy men, courageous women. Fun and loving family. Great read but wasn't as good as the first book. Even though Jordan and Gabe sexy as all their brothers it wasn't as sexy a story. Gabe and Jordan are both well sought out bachelors but once they catch their ideal women their as lost as their brothers.

I really, really wanted to give this at least 4 stars but I just couldn't do it. I loved Gabe and Jordan from the first two stories, but these that were written just for them seemed like Lori was just getting them out of the way so she could go write books that she wanted to. These two stories didn't even have the hint of a mystery that most of her books have, and I missed that little thing.
