A classic "USA Today" bestseller is back. Having had little experience with men, Grace Jenkins doesn't let that stop her from dreaming about sexy Noah Harper. Noah wants to savor Graces sweet innocence--and only that. Grace, however, is a woman who knows exactly what she wants. Reissue.

I really thought I was going to thoroughly enjoy Too Much Temptation, but in the end it just didn't grab my attention and engage my emotions the way I had hoped. In my opinion, the story was pretty light on the plot and the characters were underdeveloped and inconsistent. All of the characters seemed to have thoughts, feelings and actions that were as changeable as the weather, making it very difficult for me to fully grasp anyone's motives. There were quite a few scenes that were written from t...more

If the second one is anything like this one, WHOA!

Thank you Julie for sending this to me.

I loved this book!! This one was for the rest of us girls, the fuller figured ones. Just the way Noah treats Grace is so sweet telling her that she is not fat and that she is beautiful just got me!!

Good story and goos hot sex included

This was a nice story. It had interesting characters even though the plot was not overly complex. Indeed, it was very basic.

I enjoyed the dynamic between Noah and Grace. He was attracted to her regardless of what she felt about her physical appearance.

Secondary characters:
Kara - an unnecessarily dramatic emotional wreck
Agatha - takes no prisoners battle ax and shrewd negotiator
Ben - devil may care attitude but always concerned about his brother

Foster did a nice job with this book and it was int...more

I couldn't give it five stars but I had to give it four because BIG GIRLS RULE! I was totally with Grace. Like her, I've felt invisible and been interested in men who saw me as nothing more than a friend. I commiserated with her about knowing men don't flirt with big women. Just like her I tend to admit my weight issues before anyone can thrust them on me. It really makes you oblivious to the men who might truly be interested. I love that she wasn't wimpy. Being shy is okay but it's also apparen...more

This book was fabulous I read it in 2 sittings because I just had to get some sleep.
Just finished up and have to say I can't wait to read some other Lori Foster books. Hopefully Ben's book will be next.

Noah is so head over heals for Grace I loved it. He is demanding and forceful in the bedroom and out. I am a softy for a alpha hero Possessive and jealous are my favorite.

I enjoyed the grandmother and the banter between her and her grandsons. The book is a quick read and skims over the boys pas...more

Sweet, charming, steamy, quick read. Noah is your typical alpha male, 6’4” of yummy deliciousness. Grace is delightful, funny, driven and unfortunately has some image issues. She sees herself as plump and undesirable. Noah sees nothing but a warm, curvaceous, real woman that is his every fantasy come true. He wants her, she’s willing and they can’t get enough of each other. *Stamps foot* I want Noah for myself!! He never wavers from his want or need for her, tells her as much as he shows her, an...more

This was a hot little number! The only Lori Foster I have read before was from a book of three short stories by three different authors. I am so glad I decided to read this book. It was full of sizzling chemistry. This was the first book in a two part book series. The next book will be Never Too Much which I hope to get to soon.
I loved how Grace was a "bigger" girl in this series. It gets tiring sometimes always reading about these model skinny girls who we all know can get any man they want. He...more

I wanted to try a Lori Foster, as I have heard good things, and on Amazon people were raving it was over-the-top sexy, a plus 10 rating. Sooo...... But, for me it was just Meh.

It just didn't work for me like I wanted it to. The sexy scenes were kind of mechanical, and the heroine's constant inner lament "I'm Fat" got really, really boring. Also I wasn't buying the 25 year old virgin bit, especially since she is supposedly drop dead gorgeous in his eyes. Would have been more realistic, not to men...more

Although I absolutely adored the basic premise of this story line, the execution of it fell short for me. The two main h/h were just sweet enough to eek three stars out of me (but just barely!) This is one of those stories where so much could have been done to really flesh out each of the characters, but the author just tosses out cliches and a bit of humor and expects the reader to simply exert his/her own affinity towards each character's trials and tribulations. The idea of a handsome hero ge...more

This is such a great story. It's steamy in a nice way - hot but not prone to some of the ridiculous neo-medical descriptions some erotica resort to. This also has a nice story, and most of the main characters are great also. The grandmother is a manipulative, stupid old witch, and the ex is a limp, wet kipper, and I do think a more satisfying ending would have been the two of them pushed down a well together, but I guess the actual ending is more like real life. The hero and heroine are fabulous...more

I didn't like how they continued to stay so focused on Grace's weight. If he was so ok with it, the wording chosen seemed less than positive at times. Fleshy, plump, etc got a little redundant and distracting. I enjoyed the fact he fell for a 'real' woman but it didn't have to be so focused on it, if it wasn't a deal for him. I can see Grace focusing on it, but for him to see it and acknowledge it over and over again seemed to take away from the romance of it. I liked Ben's character a lot and w...more

This book should have hit all my sweet spots but instead it left me feeling irritated and annoyed. none of the supporting characters were likable except for Ben and I feel like he's the only one who stayed consistent. I wish the author hadn't head hopped because while I liked the main characters they didn't grab me and I think this is because they weren't our primary focus.

I wished Kara had to deal with backlash for her actions because she was a grade a bitch. as was Agatha. Forgiveness is all...more

I really enjoyed Too Much Temptation by Lori Foster. Even though the storyline wasn't great the characters drove it home for me. Noah and Grace had great chemistry and were very sexy together.

I felt that Grace was the perfect combination of sweet and shy but always stayed true to herself. She was opinionated and very strong willed even though she struggled with her insecurities she never let feeling awkward or embarrassed stop her from speaking her mind. So many female leads who struggle with t...more

3.5 stars.

The premise of this book excited me at first with the beginning and most of the middle proving to be kind of fab. But in the end I felt a little bit let down.

Being voluptuous myself, I found myself cheering for the curvy heroine but even I got sick and tired of the author bringing her body shape up in almost every paragraph. It did my head in.

I was set to give this a 4 star rating but the flat delivery along with the cliched ending and constant projections of body issue hang-ups made m...more

Cute. Grace and Noah are a great pair, but Ben really steals the show. I loved him the best. Yes, the content was steamy, but it was not overdone so that Grace and Noah did not have enough time to build a relationship. Grace started off pretty nice, but she did not make a lasting impression on me. Noah was the perfect man and was the right bit the jealous lover. Kara was kinda dumb and consistently pissed me off, despite the fact that she was a "good person".

Worth a read, though not memorable (e...more

He wanted everything that concerned Grace to be his business. He wanted to know that she was safe and happy and that she was…his.

This was such a cute story. Take one very sexy Alpha hero and add a very cute, lovable, and kind heroine and you got a one very enjoyable story. Before you ask, or assume, yes, this is very predictable, but who cares, right? Sometimes you just want to read something for the fun and enjoyment of it without having to worry about what’s about to happen. This is...more

I can't decide if I really liked this or if I really really liked it!

Noah is a dominating alpha male but has seemingly been keeping this well hidden. Since he has split from his uptight fiance, he has decided that he has had enough of behaving as other people think he should. He was all set to marry someone he didn't even love because of it and is glad to have had his eyes opened before it was too late.

Grace is a good girl and always has been. She is incredibly caring and hard working, and is co...more

4 star contemporary romance

I read this book a long time back and whilst browsing through a discussion forum on Amazon, I once again came across this title and had the itch to read it all over again. Lori Foster is an author who writes great stories with lots of humor injected into the romance which makes reading the book a more memorable one. And yes, the sensuality level of her novels are off the charts as well!

Noah is one of the bastard grand sons of Agatha, a woman who is as rich as she is...more

I loved this book! Gracie was such a refreshing unique character to me and she made the whole story come alive. Noah was so set in his ways, and so sure of the road ahead of him that when Gracie finally stepped up and put herself in his path, it knocked him through a loop. Gracie was an overweight and insecure woman and doesn't realize her appeal, or even that she has any. She has this amazing personality and to watch her come alive through the eyes of the characters was a beautiful thing to wat...more

This was a book my sister shoved at me and told me to read. Boy am I glad she did. This was a really awesome book. Grace is not just a little plump. She's a big girl, and once Noah actually starts looking at her, he likes everything he sees. The love scenes were very hot, the hottest I think I had read at that time. I don't tend to find too many of the very erotic type romances as romantic, but this one was. More on the modern romance side, where it's not so much "We're married" at the end of th...more

This one was okay.. I don't think it was one of better books from Foster. I will read the next for curiosities sake. But I don't know, something about the dialogue and the characters sort of annoyed me in this one. Maybe it was Noah constantly reminding Grace about their agreement that she concedes to his will in the bedroom. Or it could have been Noah's ex-fiancee whose constant crying and whining was just bordering on making me nauseous. Oh well, I'll see how the next one is.

Lori Foster is the epitome of terrible writers— at least from what I’ve read in this sorry excuse for a novel. The book’s only redeeming quality is the sex, which isn’t saying much at all since even that was written awkwardly, as if the author woke up one day, wrote a novel, and self-published it. That’s how disgustingly vomit-inducing this was for me.
These so called “characters” were stick figures, with little to no development. Their actions, opinions, decisions, and dreams were so unrealisti...more

09/26 82.0% "This is like drinking the first glass of wine of the evening. It goes down to easily with little effort and takes the edge of that crappy day. Marie Force, springs to mind. Another author that strokes you to a calming state with words and a good romantic plot. Lori Foster is very similar. An enjoyable read that will make you warm and fuzzy without too much fuss and drama."

I love it when I find a book where the main female is not stick thin and model pretty but instead has the same weight, looks, "he'd never notice me" hangups that most of us have/had. The qualities of her male characters are every woman's dream. They are all muscle and bad ass on the outside and kind, caring and sensitive on the inside. What I like about Lori's books are that she writes love stories that aren't far fetched from reality. Grace is a woman who really knows what she wants but can't p...more

Loved this book!!! Noah & Grace were so stinking cute together! It was refreshing to read about a normal woman who was not model gorgeous but rather pretty & absolutely beautiful on the inside! Noah was always making sure that Grace knew she was beautiful to him......I related to Grace on many levels, sometimes not easy in a romance novel, but I have a "Noah" of my own & I was rooting for their passion to turn into love.

I truly truly enjoyed this book. Voluptuous Woman it is time to rejoice and be strong, knowing there is always a man out there that love soft, tender woman as ourselves. Do not feel self pity, we must stand up and enjoy life and what cupid might bring to our world. You always have to remember that is our world as well and we can stand up, chin out and speak your mind. Brava to Ms. Lori Foster!
