I wanted to like this book more than I actually did. The concept is fantastic - women farmers from across the country, various types of farms and experiences, and here are their stories. Unfortunately, the book underwhelmed. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the photography was somewhere between boring and cliché, the layout was distracting, and not all of the farmers profiled had the most compelling stories. The stories were very interesting to read.
I found i was disappointed with the photography of the book. I expected higher quality and better composition from a book with so many photos. It looks like it would be a great coffee table book but it was not of a very high quality.

Read about 17 women who love their land and farming life. A part of me has always been interested in being a dairy farmer and so this book was a guilty pleasure- it took a lot of fortitude on my part to return it to the library!

Made me homesick for Oregon and think I have kind of a weiny job.
