This is a favorite novel of mine for a number of reasons. Many persons categorize it with London Fields and The Information, as these are major, mid-career novels by Amis. I'd recommend that a reader tackle them in the order of their original publication. A companion text for Money: Othello.

My second encounter with Amis (the first was the stunning House of Meetings) and the diversity between these two books display pure genius.
Along with LONDON FIELDS, THE INFORMATION and (more recently) HOUSE OF MEETINGS, I think MONEY is the best thing Amis has written. And yes, I know that's not exactly narrowing it down too much, but it's the best I can do. I love all four of these books (and mostly like the rest).
