Hot & Fun Read!

Once again Mandy Roth has me smiling from ear to ear with her talented and creative writing. This second installment in the Talon’s series is so cute as we find out why Sachin holds so many secrets that even his King doesn’t know about. The story kept me glued to the pages and I could clearly visualize every scene as it produced such excitement from the drama foretold.

The characters Sachin and Paige were perfect for each other and had me smiling and laughing at their playfuln
Sachin is a bird shifter from another dimension. He rescues Paige from a killer and brings her to a sort of safe house for troubled girls. Paige is young and he visits every so often, she is in love with him and gifts him her virginity when she is 21. I always find, the older man waiting for the girl to grow up so he can have sex with her theme disturbing so this I did not like. After intercourse he disappears for a year. Sachin didn't think much of humans but had no problem sleeping with as man ...more

A trained assassin, Sachin gave up his mate and left her in ignorant bliss of what he is besides she wasn’t supposed to be human and she sure wasn’t supposed to agree to marry another man in this riveting erotic paranormal romance. The story is enjoyable and entertaining even though it is over entirely too quickly although that might be a good thing since I couldn’t put it down until I had read every last word.

I have really fallen in love with this series. It is fast but still develops a good relationship and story. I already have downloaded part 3.

This is the first Mandy Roth book I've read, and although I enjoyed the theme, there were aspects of the characters' behaviour that I found head scratching.
I understood the heroine falling for charming, mysterious Sachin, but him leaving almost mid ****and then their reunion didn't work for me. Her behaviour towards her fiance, a good man, was unforgivable.
Sachin was also a bit of a misogynist, happy to use women for sex and then leaving without looking back, including the virgin heroine. Sure h

Another Feather in Mandy’s Cap!!!

– Her Cap of Awesome Books, that is! I am loving this series and bird shifters! Never mind the fact that this is my first bird shifter book & series! This review is for the first 3 books in the series & opens with King of Prey, A View to a Kill (book 2) and Master of the Hunt (book 3). I thought that Mandy did a great job with King of Prey in setting up the rest of the series. Their race & world is beautifully explained and Mandy did a terrific job de

This is the third book I've read in the Bird Shifter Seeies by Mandy Roth. I find this series very unique with paranormal bird shifters (two warring factions, the Hawks and Falcons exist in another realm), that can partially shift and make frequent visits to earth.
The Hawks have been suffering from a long period of sterility among its population. Now that the King has mated with a Human there is hope for that the curse has broken and there will be more births.

'A trained assassin...a man even the deadliest of warriors fear. To cross him is foolish. To steal his heart is pure madness.'

Just from the above paragraph at the beginning of this book, I was hooked!
I loved reading the 1st book, about Kabril and Rayna, and I found this one as equally exciting as that.

Sachin was believed to be a womanizer and loved his visits to Earth to bed the females there. That all came to an end on one night, when returning to the portal to get back to his own realm, he hea

The second book in the King of Prey series, A View to a Kill focuses on Sachin, the leader of King Kabril's guard and best friend.

After a particularly "rambunctious" night, Sachin is returning to Accipitridae when the sound of a gunshot causes him to veer off course and investigate. What he finds is a young girl hiding from a man who is attempting to hunt her down. Something about the girl calls to Sachin and he rescues her despite the necessity of keeping what he is a secret. A relationship dev

This is book 2 in one of my favorite series by Mandy Roth. This series was my introduction to the large bird shifters and I love it. A great noon time read, but you might want to find yourself a quite spot for the sexy, erotic read.

Sachrin couldn't see himself spending eternity with one female. That was a long time to sleep with the same woman. But that all changed the night her rescued Paige three years earlier. Love was an emotion he had never fully understood until Paige came into his life, b

This was a great follow up to King of Prey. The main character in this is the right hand man of the King of Hawks. Sachin meets his mate when she is to young to claim but he continues to visit her as she grows up. After mistakes are made and trust is lost Sachin must figure out what he wants and how to hang on to it.

I liked how this book went with a different approach to how the main characters meet and their relationship progresses. There was no instant love with them flying off into the sunse

I enjoyed Sachin. He found himself acting in ways that are not the norm for him. He advises and protects the King but it is no longer enough. Especially after he saves Paige. He finds himself protective of the small human woman and he isn't sure why. I loved that this strong alpha male is brought down by this human female. He visits her even though he knows it isn't safe to make so many trips the human realm. I enjoyed Paige as well. Her crush on Sachin grows each time he visits. But when he hur ...more

I was given an arc copy by the author for an honest review.

I have come to enjoy this series greatly and Sachin was one of the characters i wanted to read about so very much!

Its fun,its hot,its sexy, erotic and full of action.

The characters are well written and the story captivates you from the start.

I was glad to see other characters and what is happening to them.

Only fall back in this book is a slight problem with time tabling to what concerns Kabril finding his mate in regard with Sachins story

This entire series is such a great read. The characters are well described and well played. I felt as tho I could identify the character personalities based on the other books i've read in the series. Theres humor and love and conflict. Such a great story. As always with Mandy's work-at least for me-I can visualize as I read. It's like a movie playing out in my mind as I read the words on the screen. It's fabulous. I was real happy to read Sachin's story after all the help he gave Kabril. Who knew that being in a realm that your not supposed to visit often would hold you mate in it. Coming to the rescue of a young girl brings friendship and love to Sachin after his very long existence. While finding those things he never thought he would find his mate in Paige. Paige is very strong after her harsh childhood until she meets someone caring to take her in. After they finally commit something to each other Sac ...more

Mandy has written another hot story, with alpha males and the women they love, or at least lust over.

Sachin, head advisor to King Kabril, cannot get enough sex, even craving the woman of earth. He knows he should not keep going to earth as his people view humans as inferior, even if they do like them for sex. On one visit, hearing a young girl (Paige) scream, he rescues her from a drunk man who has just murdered her mother, and realizes she is his mate. He visits her for years and they realize h

I am a big fan of this series and this novella is a favorite of mine. Sachin is a warrior and trusted advisor to his king and Paige is an orphan he saved from her mother's vicious boyfriend. A short read.....

This is book two in this series. This one was a little predictable but it was not a bad book. It did not keep me as engaged as the first one did and that could be because of a new storyline. This one was pretty consistent and did a decent job picking up where the previous one left off. I think the second book could have been stronger by maybe talking move about the pending war, the different factions, why the split, etc. Having such a strong warrior character fall for a twenty y

A View to A Kill is the second installment in the Bird of Prey Series by Mandy Roth. King Of Prey, the first installment in this series, was the first bird shifter novel I’ve read. In this installment, it was good to see that it is not only the brothers who get stories. Sachin is a trust adviser and trained assassin.
