If you know and love someone who has experienced or is experiencing infertility (and you do), then this book is a must read. It is not only practical, but inspiring, and is filled with faith and hope for such a tender topic. It offers insights into how to cope with infertility, how to comfort and support those who are experiencing this kind of loss, and how to find happiness in the present journey of life. Daynes has a way of acknowledging and allowing the reader to feel the sorrow that comes fr...more

I really enjoyed readin. As someone who has been dealing with infertility for 10 years, reading this really helped with some of the hard and sad feelings that I have. Daynes uses scriptural references and life stories from others. There were sections on how to deal with bitterness, people who are insensitive, growing a stronger testimony, and strengthening your marriage. I loved how she incorporated Sarah, Hannah, Rachel, and Elisabeth who all were barren, but who still held strong to their fait...more

Full of hope and inspiration, this book will help those who have experienced infertility or just know someone who has. The author uses the experiences of others and her own insights along with gospel principles from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to explore the many different emotions and frustrations of this trial.

She makes you realized that the feelings you have are normal and it is possible to live a full, happy life, whether you have children or not. I appreciated that this...more

It was great reading a book on infertility struggles from a LDS perspective. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with infertility. It really helped us get through and continue to get through our infertility issues.

After our second IVF loss, I posted on my blog two paragraphs from her book.

"When we learned that our second IVF cycle was not productive, my husband and cried together. We spent the rest of the day alone. We ate out for lunch and for dinner. We laid low and watched a movie tha...more

Some of my favorite excerpts: "It is important to stop judging ourselves and our lives based upon a perceived better plan that has been created by expectations. As we are living righteously and obediently, the best plan for us is the one we are living."

"Reserving happiness for the future causes the moment to lose its meaning, depth, and purpose."

"Adversity does not diminish the quality of our lives; it does just the opposite...it enhances it."

"I would eventually come to learn that in waiting bot...more

This is a great book! The honesty and sincerity with which it is written and information contained make this book good for anyone who wants to learn about infertility from an LDS perspective. Even if you don't struggle with infertility personally, I'm sure you know many who do. It's just a good, spiritually inspiring book I'd highly recommend.

While I don't suffer from infertility, I have heard that this book is great from some of my clients and felt it would be a worthwhile read to become more understanding and empathetic of the thoughts, feelings, and processes that those who face infertility go through. It was nothing earth-shattering, but it was a good, all encompassing guide for those navigating this hardship.
