Having been – and occasionally still being – an avid Magic player whose favorite part of any card was always the flavor text, I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this novel. King has a descriptive ability that allows you to sink in to the story with the greatest of ease and tell a wonderfully captivating and riveting story, though I don’t know how much control he had over the storyline.
