Cry No More...No kidding...I don’t think I had any tears left after reading this book. I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning to finish because I just had to find out what happened and the ending made me bawl like a baby. Seriously, I needed a box of tissues and a big hug when I turned the last page. It’s an intense, gut-wrenching, thought provoking, heartbreaking, emotional roller coaster ride that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it. More...

In the mood to rip out your soul, cry buckets, say OMG a few times too many for everything from abject misery to pure rapture? Then read this book! It is sooooooooo good! The hero looks like he was plucked straight out of one of Anne Stuart’s Ice novels—he is incredible. He doesn’t say much, but when he does and how he does what he does just makes you go all limp and you fall down in a puddle of what used to be you--guaranteed! He is the uber alpha/gamma hero, hotness personified. This is o More...

Meet Milla, someone who has a great life, a husband she loves, just had a baby a few weeks ago that both are enthralled with, and she has just set up time for a "first date" with her husband after the baby, you know the kind of date where there are no clothes. Everything seems to be going well in her life that she doesn't even mind all the other mundane tasks that make up life. When at the market things change in a heartbeat as she is surrounded by to men who rip the baby out from he More...

I thought that Cry No More was an absolutely wonderful book. It was one of the most emotional that I have read in a long while. The book was humorous in places, heartrending in others. The heroine, Milla, has spent the last years devoting herself to Finders, the organization she founded to locate missing children. Diaz, a shadowy, dangerous figure who has the reputation of being able to find anyone, appears in Milla's life after she begins asking questions about him. The two team up to unrave More...

5 stars: Fast paced, emotional roller coaster

I've read about 75% of Linda Howard's books and this one has become my favorite. As a mom, my worst fear is something happening to my son, so the kidnapping storyline was especially horrifying and suspenseful to me. The story was so heartwrenching--I was crying several times during the book--but it had a wonderful ending.

The book wasn't predictable--when I read the back description I figured it would go a certain way and it di More...

This one definitely held my interest from page #1...it begins 10 years in the past, in Mexico, where Milla's 6-week old son is stolen from her. For 10 years, Milla searched for her son and also formed the privately funded organization, Finders, where she and others helped find missing people in both the U.S. and Mexico.

This book is not much on romance, but it is a suspense. The baby-smuggling ring morphed into "involuntary" body organ donation, but the book did not delv More...

I don't normally get so emotional about a book that I actually cry but I did this time. A very emotional heart-wrenching ride with this one. Linda Howard knows how to pull the heartstrings. The subject matter hit home about how easy it is to lose a child through no fault of your own.

Okay, the title of this book is "Cry No More" but I ended up crying a whole lot while reading it. What's up with that! :P

This is one of the most heart-wrenching stories I have read in a while. This story takes you on the journey of a woman's growth from a young and innocent woman, to a strong woman who has gracefully aged through divorce, loss of a child, self-guilt, and finally freeing herself and finding redemption. I really admire this woman who was so tenacious even thoug More...

What an emotional ride that was! TEARS, TEARS, TEARS!

Milla Edge is the founder of Finders, an organization that finds missing people. She has been ever since her son was taken from her 10 years ago. And she's never given up the search.

Finally, more than 10 years later, she starts getting some real leads to her son's disappearance. Ones that lead her to Diaz. And illusive assasin who's name keeps coming up in conjunction with her son's kidnappers. They end up teami More...

I have to say that writting a review for this book was never in my plans but even a week after I’ve read it,some scenes kept popping in my mind..

I’ve heard about this book many times and one day, I’ve read the synopsis. It was about a woman,Milla Edge, who ten years ago lost her child but who still had the hope to find him. Dramatic, isn’t it? After I’ve read the synopsis,I’ve read a few review to find out how good the story was. What I’ve read intrigued me so much that I had to rea More...

Milla Boone's 6 week old baby boy was snatched out of her arms on a bright sunny day while she was shopping in an open air market in Mexico. The aftermath of the kidnapping had a profound impact on her life. She founded an organization to help people look for missing children and she continued to look for her own son.

Ten years pass and Milla is no closer to finding her son, despite the fact that her son's kidnapping made news headlines. Her single minded drive to recover her son has al More...

I adored this book. Seriously. It has been a really long time since I have read something this good. I stayed up too many hours to be able to finish it today. It is an emotional roller coaster, So many genres together in only one book.

I don't feel very chatty today, so I won't be able to write a good review,LOL. Just know that there's no way you won't enjoy this book. It's just too good to be true. I'm adding at least 3 more Howard's books to my TBR pile.

The only problem More...

Young Milla is with her extraordinary Dr. husband and six week old in Mexico when her child is snatched from her. The rest of the book is set 10 years later and is our heroine trying to track down the people who stole her baby. It was certainly an emotional trail to follow.

I liked our heroine. I thought she was strong and smart. Not as funny as I've grown accustomed with my usual authors. But I will certainly be willing to give Linda Howard another shot.

the first book I read by Linda Howard was Death Angel, and I loved it! So far I've read a few more by her that just haven't measured up, until now, and this one surpasses it. I honestly thought I would cry at certain points...

Final Notes:

the hero - James Diaz is a near perfect blend of danger, bad boy, mysterious, dominant hero, and till the end, stays mostly believable and true to character.

the heroine - I am a mom, and her story tore through my heart. I More...

The very first book I read by Linda Howard was Shades Of Twilight. Ever since I put that book down I've read every Linda Howard book I could get my hands on. I'd seen Cry No More on amazon before but was always hesitant to buy it. The fact that it dealt with a baby being snatched right out of a young mother's arms made me very uneasy.

I read several customer reviews, which were all raving so I gave the book a chance. All I can say is, I should not have waited to long to read this one. I More...

Too sad for me.

The first 100 pages and the last 80 were full of grieving and sorrow. I was crying more than I liked. Milla's infant in stolen from her and she is searching for 10 years for him. Then she meets Diaz an assassin who helps her. With his help she gets answers and they develop a relationship. This part of the story was good. I loved the Diaz character. There were a couple of lines about Diaz that intrigued me, which follow. "women tended to be afraid of him. More...

I wrote this review over on amazon several months ago - yes, I'm posting here cuz I'm lazy... It's the only book I ever reviewed on amazon, so I figured, why waste it?

There are some books that you have no trouble abandoning mid-read and some that were so excrutiating that you happily added it to your wall-banging list. There are other books you come back to again and again, whether they made you laugh or cry or happy or sad. Something about it compells you to revisit More...

Milla's 6-week-old son was torn from her arms as she visited the marketplace one morning. For the next ten years, despite the many suggestions that she move on, she continued to search for her son. It cost her a good marriage and quite a bit of herself, changing her in irrevocable ways.

This was an emotional book. I didn't actually cry (although I came close), but it was painful at times. As a suspense novel, this was a thoroughly engaging ride and some of Linda Howard's best work.

Really liked this one but it was a tough topic. If you're a parent, you'll have to try not to relate too closely to some of the content as it might be hard to get though. A great story though, with very characters that are drawn very well.

I love this book.
It is not a traditional romance, so i put in romance and thriller shelf.

It is about a fight of a mother who lost her baby to a criminal ring who abduct and sold babies.
Since her baby was abducted, Milla's life cannot be the same, she cannot be the same. She changed from a feminine women into a warrior who founded "Finders" organization that its sole focus is to find missing babies.

I read this book with two friends. It's not a book I would have found on my own, so it's even more special to really enjoy a book you find through others, and enjoy it I did!

The subject was horribly sad and gut-wrenching. It focuses on one woman's crusade to help find all the "lost" people in the world. Milla's baby is snatched at 6 weeks of age, and besides breaking her heart, it changes her entire life. She spends the next 10 years tirelessly searching for him and others More...

There's something I have to say about LH. I really love her heroes! They are a bit on the bas*stard side but I totally love them!!

And her heroine was good. True, the whole book was really really good! I love how she choose to live trying to trace their kidnapped son without hating his husband who left because he cannot stand her focus on their son. And it was a good suspense because LH caught me by surprise <spoiler> having the bad man called True is really mean! ;) And her best More...

The beginning has a few cheap tricks to get you hooked, but they are somewhat compelling and set up the story. She only uses one POV character for the entire beginning and it's not until 25 scenes later at the start of middle do you get another POV Character. The reading is easy and moderately fast paced and that keeps you hooked in but there are a number of "I forgive you Linda's" in each 'cheap' hook that keeps you 'sort of' surprised but is actually not 100% believable. Let's see ho More...

Yeah, Linda Howard really is a great writer and this is a really good book. It captures you right from the start when you read about how the h's baby is stolen. Then the story skips forward about 10 years to where she is in her battle to find her child and in the process meets her H. And he sure is an interesting H. As always, this author writes a H you'd love to meet in real life.

The love story is so nice and somewhere near the end of the book, I loved the comment by the h that More...

This book was a definite roller-coaster ride. I think that this has to be every mother's #1 worst fear: That their child will be kidnapped and they will have to live the rest of their lives not knowing what happened to their baby. Mila's son is stolen, and, ten years later, she still is looking for him. Someone puts Diaz in her path, and it seems he is just going to change her life upside-down again.

Diaz is an alpha hero, but is so different from others that I can actually remind him. Her mother thought he was had autism, because he doesn't relate, or doesn't seem to relate to other people.
