This is the fourth book in the After the Storm series.

Josie Cane has been the main caretaker for her niece since Alyssa was two and her parents died, Josie's sister and brother in law.

Silas Marstow is a widower with a young daughter, Lily.

Two adorable young girls hatching a plot to get their parents, one a single mom and the other a single dad, together is a heartwarming idea, and well done in this case. The things they do are funny and obvious, but that is what one would expect from girls their age. The only character I didn't quite seem to understand was the grandmother in the story.
