Recommends it for: open-minded feminists/muslims/ non-muslim confused about violence against women in islam
It's a quick read, and definately engaging. It's the perfect guide to defending women's rights, preserving their dignity against ignorant, mysogynistic fools, and "daraba"-ing some sense into them! (read book for lucid explanation of the term, daraba)

And for a follow-up on this kind interpretation of 4:34 from the Quran, read Asma Barlas's "Unreading the Patriarchal Interpretations of the Quran"
