"You know when you meet the most gorgeous guy and get butterflies in your stomach? Well, that's what it felt like the first time I, Summer Curtis, laid eyes on my movie-star-gorgeous boss Phin Gibson. I was starstruck I've got to get a grip Phin might be delicious, but he's always late, totally disorganized--my complete opposite But somehow he's making me, the oh-so-sensib...more

This was just so sweet. It's hard to point to why I enjoyed it so much. It had some definite weaknesses--mainly the fact that the author chose to gloss over the heroine's moment of change and skip the hero's entirely. (She needs to stop being afraid of leaving her comfort zone, he needs to stop seeking endless thrills.) It was frustrating not being able to see those changes happen.

And yet I really liked it. I think it was the first person voice that made the heroine so engaging. The hero feels k...more

I really liked the heroine's first person POV in this book - I found it fresh and engaging, more please!

What I didn't care that much for was the well-used plot - the heroine pretending to be in love to get her ex back and then falling in love with the hero. Having said that, it was done well. And as a bonus (as I managed to read the sequel Juggling Briefcase & Baby first), I loved Lex's sardonic cameos in this book.

Good read.

This was the sweetest book. A friend posted a link to Super Librarian Wendy's review:

And I was wanting something to read that had a actual courtship. I picked this book up and was charmed all the way through. .

Forget tortured heroes and damaged heroine. This is the story of two people that on the surface have nothing in common. But they complement each other and make each other a better person.

This is a connected book published before JUGGLING BRIEFCASE AND BABY which I read first. Since these characters turned up in the later book, I thought the book might exist--and so it does.

This is a cute story, told in first person, so you don't get the hero's POV at all. The heroine is a super-organized secretary who's been shifted to work for the boss's adventurous brother. The brother has been wandering the world for years, the last several as a reality TV show star/host. Now he's home to wor...more

This book is only okay. The beginning was pretty boring, but it got better towards the end.

A very cute story. The hero is so yummy. I fell in love with him at the beginning and that love grew the entire book.

Cute, sweet, funny and purely romantic. I fell in love with the hero early and he just got better and better as the book went on. Perfect romantic ending.

I loved this book. It was sweet and tender with wonderful characters and playful banter. I really liked Phin for his remarkable sense of humour and his joy for life. Brava to Ms. Hart!

After a haphazard career spent working and travelling around the world, I stumbled into romance writing as a way to fund a PhD. My first book, A Sweeter Prejudice, came out in 1991, and since then I've written a further 59 books, some of which have won awards in the US and the UK.
I live in York, a historic city in the north of England, and waste the best part of my days planning trips away or on...more
