In This Land is a sweeping epic M/M erotic fantasy set in an alternate world, populated by multiple characters, multiple plot lines and is completely addictive. 2nd Update: on 5/8/13 -- Caught up to current chapters (now at ch. 343). Been keeping up weekly for the last 4 months or so. Now about 40 or so chapters into the Red Book (Talin & Mir's story). The first 30-35 chapters were really frustrating to me, much more than any of the other stories have been so far. Mir is a tough nut for Talin to crack and their story is so insular and removed from the rest of the world; the other relationships so far were very integrated into the world. It feels lik...more
Epic. Great characters, great setting, loaded with rich detail, full of interconnecting storylines. Totally engaging and tons of fun. Honestly, I just can't say enough good stuff about this series.

I rated it one star not because I did not like it, but because despite my having signed up to read about 10 days ago, my account information has not been updated and I've had no chance to read anything. Moreover, my emails to have this mistake rectified have gone ignored. If I could give it 0, I would.
The bones of this tale are good ones, so it hurts me in some ways to not continue with it. But there's just too much storytelling going on here. Pare it down to about 25% of its total mass, then you'd have a compelling read.
