Raven and her true love, Alexander, sleep in a coffin; 11 year old vampire Valentine is interested in tree houses; Billy Boy and his nerd-mate Henry are busy with Project Vampire and Dullsville High's Prom Night is just around the corner.

Don’t pay attention to my rating, these books were written for much younger readers than me. If I had read them when I was 14, I’d probably be in love with them.

Still, for some reason that I can’t explain, this series always puts a smile on my face. Maybe it’s b

I love the main character! Raven is so interesting to hear about. It isn't very often that the main character is gothic and relatable.

I have a thing for vampires so this book keeps me interested.

(Review for Books 1-8)

I decided to review all eight of these books together, as I pretty much read them all back to back and I don't think I would be able to go back and review them all individually.

Firstly, this is a series that I had known about for a while, but wasn't really too sure what the books were about. Going from the titles it's obvious that they are about vampires, but apart from that I hadn't really looked into them too much. One day in December, bored I decided to give the first bo

I absolutly LOVED this book, I loved the whole series! An awewsome book! The ending kinda sucked though, she left it open for another book but there probably won't be one!!!

Favourite Character: Alexander

This book was okay, it wasn't anything to write home about. Nothing big really happened. And the on-going feud between Trevor and Raven is getting old, I mean she loves Alexander and it's clear Trevor has had a big ol' crush on her for a while... Other than that Raven is starting to annoy me, at first her antics and immaturity were refreshing, but now it's like okay... 16 year olds do NOT act like this. I mean most of them are out having sex and doing drugs and rais

I don't want to start any arguments, as everyone have their own opinion, I just wanted to say this was the best book in the series so far. If you don't include bitchy valentine, that is.

To be fair, I suggest to read the first three books before reading this review for spoiler-free experience.

Jagger and Luna left Dullsville and all is good, until their little brother, Valentine Maxwell, shows up with an unknown goal. While Raven and Alexander have ups and downs because of the little Nosferatu, th

"Dace with a Vampire" and the "Vampire Kisses" series is like another "Twlight". Human and vampire fall in love, but in this book they don't have any drama with the two lovebirds. Raven would be Bella in "Twilight", but instead of being the victim sghe is the heroine. Also she the total oppiste of Bella. Raven is Goth and her favorite color is black. Her ultimate wish is to be a vampire, which sshe wanted since she was born, and before she met her vampire boyfriend. Alexander would be Edward, bu ...more

Dance with a Vampire was a fantastic installment to the Vampire Kisses series. Alexander and Raven might have gotten rid of Luna and Jagger, but a new vampire is in town, Valentine. As far as villain characters go, Valentine is pretty tame. He reads thoughts and spreads secrets to stir up trouble in Raven and Alexander's relationship. My favorite character is Raven. I like her style and attitude. She dresses and acts how she wants to and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Alexander has become ...more

Okay - in all honesty - I've given up on this book and the remainder of the series. Raven's constant whining about wanting to be a vamp has grown rather dull. And the fact that she continues to put herself in situations where her vamp boyfriend has specifically asked her not to (he's done this with a great deal of restraint as far as vamps are concerned and been very polite about it too)has just pushed me off the rest of the story/series. I think I made it to page 20 or so before tossing the boo ...more

This is truely a captivation series to read. I have read the other 3 previously and I must say it definately keeps me reading and wanting more.
In this book, Raven and Alexander must face Valentine (Jagger and Luna's kid brother). Valentine is a vampire and he is in search of something specific......Raven and her family, especially Raven's younger brother "Billy Boy". Billy doesn't know Valentine is a Vampire at first, he becomes best friends. Can Raven help her younger brother before it is too l

Now that Raven has fallen in love with her true mate, Alexander Sterling, and has defeated the Nosferatu duo, Jagger and Luna Maxwell, Raven thinks she can finally rest at ease. Raven is in her sophomore year and with such a small community, prom is open to all students. Another dance? Snow Ball didn't go as smashing as she had hoped, so would her mate be willing to attend another all mortal affair?

Raven struggles to find the girl time with her only best friend, Becky, between their recent boyfr

Dance with a vampire is about a goth girl named Raven living in a town with her vampire sweetheart alexander. she ran Jagger and his twin sister Luna out of town. Well so they think. As Raven spots a new goth weird 11 year old boy that looks like a younger version of Jagger. Hanging out with her brother she gets very protective and doesnt want her younger brother Billy boy hanging out with this weird kid named valentine. Who is only known as coming out in the Day. So her and Alexander team of to ...more

I am so glad this series is getting better. I had my doubts after the first two. I have figure out two of my issues with this series though. First, I think some of the books could be combined. They function all right by themselves, but they are to connected (not to mention short). Second, I have no problem with Raven being Goth. But, for some reason it seems so cliché. I kind of just ignore that, but I do not feel it really adds to the story. This story I think was more fun. I liked seeing Raven ...more

I ask myself, what audience is this book being aimed at. I'm still test reading the series for the librarians at school who were keen to hear what they were like, and I feel so horrible having to say that I don't really like them at all. They're OK, that's the truth, but they are not brilliant. The premise of each book is simple - Human girl who wants to be a vampire meets a vampire boy and they fall in love. They are hunted by evil vampires who wish to make the girl one of them despite her love ...more

Raven and Alexander work to rid of and protect Raven’s brother Billy, his friend, and the town from Valentine, Jagger and Luna’s younger sibling. They leave what was turning out to be the best prom ever to find him right about to bite Billy. He grows ill from being exposed to the bright light of Raven’s flashlight and so they take him to the Mansion and give him blood to revive him. Billy and his friend Henry suspect he’s a vampire, so Raven disperses of them before they confirm their beliefs. S ...more

Okay now, Valentine came to town. Dullsville. Valentine came to find his brother and sister. Jagger and Luna didn't come back to Romania yet! So, Valentine came to search the town. He touched some people on the neck. To find out what they were thinking at that moment. When Valentine touched Trevor's neck he got confused. He told Raven that Trevor was thinking that it was Raven underneath the veil not Luna. It was soooo totally obvious that Trevor was in love with Raven. I think it's cute! :P but ...more

Dance with a Vampire is the 4th in the Vampire Kisses series. I read it cold. While I wished I'd read the others to really understand what was going on, there was enough recap that I didn't really need to have read them. The protagonist, Raven Madison, is a goth vampire wannabe, who is dating a vampire. She was a bit difficult to relate to, and I'm not sure if it's just because I don't identify with goths (though I read plenty of protagonists with whom I have nothing in common, and I identify wi ...more

Ahhhhh the story. The story is good, but the pretentious writing style really pisses me off. There are no specifics of what city or state that this book even takes place. The writer primarily focuses on names, clothes, and looks. There needs to be an editor with the courage to use that big Red Pen, that they so favor to use, and edit the shit out o

Why I liked it: This book was alot better then the ones before it, as I think most books are. It is a sign that the author is growing, which means better books to come(crossing fingers that this comes true). The first two books I gave two stars, and the only reason I stuck with this series was because of the third book. I was hoping it wasn't a fluke, and I don't think it is.

* Like in Vampireville, there is more of a plot and a mystery to it. Raven and Alexander were tr
