Like his Church Mice series, this insanely funny picture book requires a great deal of attention to detail -- for what the text says and what the pictures show are a sly, witty and contradictory viewpoints. If you ever, ever want to understand how viewpoint can underscore and enliven humor, read Oakley's brilliant little masterpieces cleverly disguised as "stories for children."
