It took me two years to read this book and when I finally read it, I was a bit disappointed.
It was okay, but I wasn't really impressed with Malik and Zakira's story. Malik was too selfish and self-serving. Although, Ms Washington tried to make the reader understand Malik's reason for doing what he did, it still didn't wash with me. After he made the most selfish decision, left and then came back, he expected Zaki to drop everything and welcome him back with open arms. I was not convince he ever

AlTonya Washington has been a romance novelist for 12 years. She's the winner of two Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Awards and recently won the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award for Best Steamy Romance of 2014. She lives in North Carolina and works as a College Reference Librarian.
