Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands

Mirabeau LaRouche knew she had a job to do, but she never expected her assignment to take her through New York City's dark, dank underground-in her bridesmaid gown, no less! And when her partner turns out to be mortal private investigator Tiny McGraw, Mireabeau knows it's no ordinary Cupid's arrow that has struck her heart this Valentine's...more

Cupid takes aim in this collection of Valentine's Day quickies
Love is in the air and Cupid's taken aim as paranormal romance authors Lynsay Sands, Pamela Palmer and Jamie Rush set out to deliver Valentines to their fans with this collection of romance short stories set in their series' universes( Sands' vampire Argeneaus, Palmer's shapeshifting Feral Warriors and Rush's psychic Offspring.) Cupid gives it good try here, and while 'quickies' can be fun, and all the stories had promising setups, a...more

It is really hard to rate these when 2 stories were great and one sucked. 3.5

"Vampire Valentine"- 2 stars
I've liked Lysay Sands' historicals, but they tend to be redundant. so, when I got my hands on her Argeneau Vampires, I was expecting more. I was disappointed. It was boring and had no plot.
Tiny and Maribeau are enforcers for the Argeneau family. Their mission is to take Stephenie and 14 yr old vampire to a safe house. They drop into the sewer, trek and backtrack with all kinds of hints of a...more

So I got this book when I was finishing the Argeneau Vampire series by Ms. Sands. And I was very excited to finally hear Tiny's story. Usually when I get these short story books with several authors including their own stories, I only stick to the one that I want to read. However, with this one I took a chance and continued reading, and boy oh boy was I happy I did. Both Ms. Palmer and Ms. Rush did a great job at providing their own stories and even so much so that I have now started researching...more

Bitten by Cupid by Lynsay Sands, Pamela Palmer and Jaime Rush is a lusciously lip smacking dessert for Valentine's Day. Readers will delight in all three stories equally as each one is just a different Valentine prop and ever so important in its own right. Just think of Lynsay's story as the Perfect Red Rose, Pamela's story as the Silky Red Sheets and Jaime's story as the Dedecant Chocolate to be savored as you climax. Oh-la-la! Merci beau coup!

Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands is a petite delig...more

Vampire Valentine - this was part of an anthology, and therefore a very short story, and so didn't have the depth or excitement of this authors usual writing. I think, however, this was a necessary part of the series as it allowed readers to be updated on what was happening with various couples in the Argeneau family, as well as telling of the brief story of Tiny and Mirabeau. It was nice to hear what they were up to, and I suspect will lay some ground maybe for upcoming instalments.

Sono rimasta soddisfatta: bei personaggi, storia sempl...more

I'm not a fan of anthology books mainly because they just aren't as interesting as full sized books. The stories in them usually have large info dumps to catch up readers not familiar with the series, or introduce them to a new series in a short amount of space. I was very disappointed with Lynsay Sands' contribution. I really love Tiny and his story was dull. I think so much could have been done with both Tiny and Mirabeau because they always seemed like such interesting characters. The second...more

Let me start by saying that I usually don't read anthologies when they contain writings from authors I've never heard of (ironic, I know). With that said, I will definitely be looking Pamela Palmer and Jaime Rush up from here on out.

It's hard to rate this book because it's three stories, by three different authors.

I love Lynsay Sands, and enjoyed Tiny's story a lot. It wasn't my favorite of the things she's written, but it was worth the time I spent within the pages. One of the things I love mo...more

Bitten By Cupid: Lynsay Sands, Pamela Palmer & Jamie Rush

Hard to rate this book with it having 3 different stories. 2 of the stories I loved, the other 1 was just ok...

I've been a fan of Lynsay and will remain one. I've read most of the Argeneau Series. I rate this book a 4 star. She did not disappoint me in this one either. With it being a short story I found that I wanted more, so it wasn't quite detailed as the others. Still, Pick it up, you will enjoy!
I am now a Pamela Palmer Fan! I rate...more

This book was like a meal...

Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands - I checked this book out at the Library because I am currently working my way through this series. This one was a fun story, no meat just some yummy potatoes. I like Tinys' character so I was happy to have a story with him but.... I don't know I just wish this was a full book. Worth the read though check it out.

Hearts untamed by Pamela Palmer - Absolutely sexy meaty story. I love Palmer's Feral warrior series so I was pleasantly surp...more

On p. 104 of 126. I am interested in seeing what is going on in the Argeneau world!

So I finished this novella in four days. I only read the Lynsay Sands short story. This story is about Mirabeau La Rouche (immortal woman) and Tiny McGraw (mortal man). They are set up by the matriarch of the Argeneau family, Margeruite. Their mission is to deliver a newly turned vamp to safety and protect her from a no-fanger.

Usually Ms. Sand's stories are entertaining and humorous, even with a touch of suspese....more

Bitten by Cupid has three stories in it so I'll take each one at a time. "Vampire Valentine" by Lynsay Sands goes with her Argeneau series. I really enjoy this story. Tiny and Mirabeau are perfect for each other. They are total opposites, that work together. It also doesn't hurt that Lucian Argeneau is in it. Any book with him is great! Next was "Hearts Untamed" by Pamela Palmer goes with her Feral Warriors series somewhat. Warriors show up in the story but aren't the main characters. I really l...more

Review:Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands
I have been a fan of the Argeneau Series since I first found this fun Vamp Family. This time we get to visit with some of our Favorites! With the long awaited Multiple Weddings!
While Tiny McGraw has his private eye duties to help get a young new vamp to safety. He is a bit worried when he finds out that the Matriarch of the family has suggested him for the job... His new partner is Mirabeau a Rogue Hunter. She has a brokenhearted past and has never opened...more

This book is an anthology, and anthologies are unique in that the authors of each story must rebuild their worlds for their new readers and not bore returning readers of their series'.

The first story by Lynsay Sands interests me to read that series, but at the same time left me feeling confused and also feeling as though the story was simplified.

The second story, by Pamela Palmer, is from a series i am familiar with. However, there were still many holes that had me questioning the story until t...more

Only 33% of this book is the book. It was a good book really it was only if it wasn't SO short. The rest of the book is of other books. You know like at the end of some books they would give samples well this one is 2 whole books. That has nothing to do with the series. Oh and it was 2 books.
I only thought it was just begging .... * dramatic pause*
But it had ended. So I thought I would save you the money... *spoilers starting now*

Loved every story in this anthology. They were well written and the mystery flair was quite engaging. Vampire Valentine (Aregneau, #12.5) by Lynsay Sands was a typical Aregneau romance involving Tiny meeting his life mate. The characters were engaging and the interaction was delightful. Hearts Untamed (Feral Warriors, #4.5) by Pamela Palmer was very intriguing. First time I've read this author and I loved the way the story framed this world and the character as a mystery to be solved. I couldn't...more

I just grabbed this anthology for the Feral Warriors short and I absolutely loved it.

Julianne moved to the Alexandria Therian enclave after both of her parents were killed. A young man named Zeeland befriends her and is her best friend until she matures and her feelings for him start to change. At twenty she finally asks Zee to be with her only to have him refuse and take off the next day, he is gone for the next ten years. Zee assumes that Juli knows why he left, she was five years too young f...more

I bought this one for the Feral Warriors entry from Pamela Palmer, but I was looking forward to checking out the other two authors, as well. It was a bit hit and miss, though, for me.

This is the second attempt I have made to read something from Lynsay Sands. The first was one of the full-length novels from her Argeneau series, and I gave up about half way through. Same thing happened here...I thought Tiny was a sweetheart, but he was the only tolerable character I could find. I gave up about hal...more

A 3-in-1 by Lynsay Sands, Pamela Palmer and Jaime Rush. Really liked the Lynsay Sands story since it's part of her Argeneau family Vampire series. The second story called Untamed Hearts by Pamela Palmer I didn't like. I've never read anything by this author before and this story is part of an ongoing series I know nothing about. I felt lost reading it. The third story Kiss And Kill Cupid by Jaime Rush is the last story and I also didn't like it for the exact same reason I didn't care for the Pam...more

This is actually 3 stories in one book. It was really good, but to be honest the Lynsay Sands story 'Vampire Valentine' was too short for me, it should have been made into a book of it's own. It was really good and I'm so happy for the character of Tiny.
But my favourite story was Jaime Rush's 'Kiss and Kill Cupid', that was amazing. It had me on the edge of my seat throughout, I read the Rush's story in a single day because I just couldn't put it down and I completely fell in love with the char...more

This review is for Kiss and Kill Cupid by Jaime Rush

I LOVE Rush's Offspring series so it was no shock that I enjoyed this short. I think Rush did a fantastic job creating an engaging, heated, enjoyable story with so little words. I loved the idea behind the story... What would you do if you heard someone thinking about killing you? The story was fun and the romance was electrifying! I fell in love with Adrian from page 1 and even though I loved him I still had moments of doubt about him, which I...more

I checked this book out of the library because of the Argeneau novella--haven't read the other two stories. Argeneau 12.5 is the story of Tiny McGraw and Mirabeau La Roche. Tiny had long been one of my favorite Argeneau secondary characters. I am glad that we finally have his story. It is wonderful that he has a lifemate and is/will soon be a full member of the immortal community. This story would have seemed rushed if these events had happen to a different character, but because of Tiny's exper...more

I enjoyed all three short stories.

I think my favorite was "Vampire Valentine" by Lynsay Sands. I read this out of order in the Argeneau series. Somehow I missed it, but decided to go back to it after reading The Reluctant Vampire . I wanted to know how Tiny and Mirabeau got together. After reading a few other reviews on this story, maybe it actually worked out better for me that I read it now, since I already knew more about Stephanie's situation.

I'd say "Hearts Untamed" by Pamela Palmer was my...more

Okay, this book had three very good stories in it.

First, in Vampire Valentine, we catch up the Argeneau's on the day of the triple wedding that we've been waiting for. Tiny McGraw, mortal PI, is assigned to help transport little Stephanie, who may be a target for a rogue no-fanger, to a small town to hide out for a while. His partner, Mirabeau La Roche, rogue hunter.

Mirabeau is prepared for anything, except finding a life mate in Tiny, and the story is just so great. He throws her for a loop fr...more

Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands- 2 stars.

Book 12.5 in the Argeneau vampire series. However, I think this book makes the most sense putting it right before book 15, which is The Reluctant Vampire.

This short novella is about Mirabeau La Roche and Tiny McGraw (Marguerite’s PI partner in Vampire Interrupted. Mirabeau is a vampire enforcer and charged with escorting Stefanie (the teenage immortal edentates girl turned against her will in The Immortal Hunger, she is also Dani’s sister) to Port Henry...more

OK, I just realized I didn't write a review of this back when I read it so I will actually need to go back and reread Jaimie Rush's story.

Vampire Valentine- Lynsay Sands: I love this series. In this one Tiny officially joins the family. Tiny and Maribeau have taken the task of delivering Stephenie, a 14 yr old vampire to a safe house. I love all the Aregeneau stories so this was great for me.

Hearts Untamed- Pamela Palmer: I am a big fan of the Feral Warriors. This story however is about Theria...more

I picked up this anthology because it had a Feral Warriors short by Pamela Palmer in it and ended up getting turned on to another author. I love when that happens!!! Hearts Untamed by Pamela Palmer was really good. I was expecting it to be about one of the Ferals but it wasn't. It was about someone else but a couple of the boys made an appearance. The story was really good and I'm curious about Zeeland. He and Hawke are buddies from way back and he seems to have a connection to his inner animal....more

Lynsay Sands is the nationally bestselling author of the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter vampire series, as well as numerous historicals and anthologies. She's been writing stories since grade school and considers herself incredibly lucky to be able to make a career out of it. Her hope is that readers can get away from their everyday stress through her stories, and if there are occasional uncontrollable fit...more
