1. Your book is at best a successful marriage between the talking points of CNN and Fox News, which are ordained under the title of “Get Opinionated.”
2. I am certain that many English Professors would let out a deep sigh if they were ever forced to read your book. The word “trite” may slip between their teeth as they write “unoriginal” on the cover page.

Amanda Marcotte is one of my favorite feminist/political bloggers, and in this book she illuminates practical political strategies for progressives, individually and in groups, so that we can keep our rights and not get shut out of the public discussion. Terrific book, hilarious and true (but sad and frustrating as well). This is in the vein of Bill Maher. I recommend this book for anyone interested in today's political landscape. Don't read this if you are easily offended by frank language and tell it like it is. Also, if you are hard-core GOP, Tea-Baggers, or Homophobic you might find out something about how your positions are both hurting yourselves as well as destroying the American society and ideals.
informative? not in the least. more like inflammatory. her language appears to be an attempt to be approachable and seem "fired up," but really she comes across just as ignorant and shallow as the "fundies" she's railing against. honestly, this book seems like what would happen should a conservative radio host try writing a liberal perspectives book. all talking points, all hateful foul language and completely lacking critical understanding.
