Very, very nice read. I really enjoyed this one. There was nothing particularly unusual about the plot, no sudden twists or turns or nothing overly melodramatic, or no big hidden secret revealed (okay, there was a secret revealed, but I doubt readers will be shocked by the secret)--this was just a beautifully detailed character driven story, and what wonderful characters they were! I absolutely fell in love with the hero, the heroine, and their extended families. Although this book is part of a ...more

I won't write a plot synopsis, since there a few very detailed ones at GR already.

I absolutely loved Coming Undone! The story takes place over about 1 1/2 years and you really get to know Brody and Elise. I've read all Ms. Dane's Chase brothers books, and the first in this series, Laid Bare. I loved all of her heroes. They are alpha in most aspects, but also so warm and caring that I just want to cuddle with them all!
Well, at the very least, any way....

Opening Line: "Even at the close of the day, the sun was enough to make the ride home from work totally perfect."

Ever since I read Laid Bare I’ve been waiting for Lauren Dane to continue with her sexy ‘Brown family’ series and with Erin’s brother Brody as our lead character here she doesn’t disappoint. COMING UNDONE grabs your attention right away with its cast of familiar characters, erotic love scenes, perceptive writing and Brody. Wow, who wouldn’t fall in love with this bad-boy on the outsid

Lauren Dane does it again, spinning an erotic tale with human emotion and sizzling sex. This book is the second in a series revolving around a family of siblings and the women/men they love. Although this book is not as epic as the first it’s just as good and emotional, then again my view could be biased because the first book had a very unusual coupling and I loved it.

5 stars – Contemporary/Erotic Romance

I'm behind on my reviews, so I'll just keep this short and simple and say that it's a beautiful, sexy, sweet, hot romance and I loved it!! Hot bad boy with a soft, tender side, Brody, is flat-out yummy, sex on a stick, and I just couldn't get enough of him!

My only complaint is that I really dislike Brody's b*tchy ex girlfriend Raven and kind of just want her to go away. And I certainly don't want her paired up with Adrian in a future book. If you're reading t
Have you ever read a book that everyone really seems to enjoy, but you find yourself having the opposite reaction? This has happened to me in the case of Lauren Dane’s Coming Undone. I’ve been a big fan of Lauren’s past work and she really does write some of the best love scenes out there. But with Coming Undone, I felt something was missing. The plot didn’t keep my interest because the plot came across as too ho-hum, and the fact that the two main characters use each other for the soul purpose ...more

This is the third book I've read by Lauren Dane, and I think I'd probably say it's my favorite so far. It was a great read all around and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Series Note:
This book is the 2nd in Dane's unofficial "Brown Siblings" series. For the most part I'd say it's not necessary to have read the previous book, but there are a references and situations that would be clearer if you did read it. Plus, it's a great book also so you should read it anyway.

Elise Sorenson escapes to Seatt

After raising his brother and sister when his parents died, Brody Brown never expected himself to truly get involved in a relationship that would require anything more than some shared intimacy. When he meets Elise Sorenson for the first time, he thinks he has had a glimpse of an angel. His new neighbor and her six year old daughter continue to draw his attention and now for the first time in his forty years he is wondering if they are what he has been missing all along.

I love this story, Brody

I loved this book!

After the kink-fest of the first in the Brown Siblings series – Laid Bare – I delayed starting this one until I felt brave enough to read it. But apart from one very unexpected visit to Erin, Todd and Ben’s bedroom, this is a gorgeously swoony, fairly straight (and freaking HOT) romance.

Brody is Erin’s sexy, responsible, tattoo-artist older brother (who I fell for a little bit in the last book), and this is the story of him meeting and falling for Elise, a single mother with a
Vikki ~ *squee* lite ~

This is one that pretty much everyone has read (and loved) already. I'm on a mission to finally read all those books I've had forever - and this series floated to the top.

I loved Brody - I mean, who wouldn't? Hot,successful, tattooed, motorcycle riding sweetheart. There isn't anything not to love. He's perfect.

I really loved Elise too. Again, strong but still soft, awesome mom, charms (almost) everyone in her path. Never seemed to over react and keeps it all together when the rest of us mort

This book was freaking awesome!!!!!

I just finished it and I am just really at a loss for words except, it was just awesome!!!!

Re-read 9/2011

Brody Brown remains the #1 hero in my opinion. Everything about him was just so, so swoon worthy. He is every woman's fantasy, hell probably some men too.

This book was just as good if not better the second time around. I loved the camaraderie among the Brown siblings and the other people in their lives. I also have to admit I still

Lauren Dane manages to retell the same story in many different ways.

This book has gotten some rave reviews. I love the characters and the premise behind the book. Sexy Tatted up bad but covert good guy. A strong heroine fighting her past with a cute tot. Great themes here!! But...OMG this book IMHO is written terribly. The prose is so unnatural and choppy. It's a hard read! Sentence fluency and word choice needs to be corrected. Did no editor catch this? Every review said the sex was great and I can only hope that the climax (I can easil

A tattooed, Harley riding bad ass. What’s not to love? Brody is the older brother to his two siblings Adrian and Erin. Nearing forty, he owns a successful tattoo shop, a nice home, and enjoys a satisfying life knowing both of the siblings he raised are settled in successful careers and happy. Surrounded by family and good friends, life is good for Brody.

Elise, a former ballerina, and now owner of dance studio, moves in across the street from Brody, hoping to establish a quiet life for her and he

Took me some time to get to this series. I took a leaf from my tendency with KA series and started out with the second book, mostly because this plot with Brody and Elise held more appeal.
The 1st book, a menage, which I'm normally not in the mood to read, may be next coz a glimpse of the threesome in this book was...interesting.

Loved the heroine's gumption, and I doubly loved the hero's.

1 star - Ugh! This book was so blah! "He - I think you're sexy. She - No, I think you're sexy. He - I want to do you. She - I want to do you too." I could have written this book that's how bad it was! The pinnacle of badness is when this woman - who is over 30 years old - tells this man - who is almost 40 - "I love you like cupcakes." He - "Wow, that's a lot of love. And as a plus, you can lick me anytime." What the fu*k!!!! The story is just superfluous to the badness of the writing, so I won't ...more
She was coming undone and there was nothing to do but let it happen.

The second book of Brown Siblings series, featuring Brody Brown, the oldest son, and Elise Sorenson.

I have a mix feeling about this one. Not quite good as the first book, Laid Bare . Some part are boring, with capital B. Just people talk, chat, greeting each other, have parties, like what you do to your neighbor. Elise and Brody relationship not as deep like Erin-Todd-Ben at Laid Bare. It can be understanding, since they just

I freely admit that I've read this series out of order...and haven't finished it. And while I will go back and read the earlier books in the series that I haven't gotten to yet, I WILL NOT read the newest book, Raven's book.

I don't typically start out with my reading issues in my reviews, but in this case, I can't help it. The book was going along swimmingly, I liked Brody, I like Elise, I liked Rennie...but there was one HUGE issue for me...Raven. She was a secondary character but I came to

BRODY...sighhh... I loved Laid Bare, but I REALLY LOVED Coming Undone, maybe because there was no big suspense, but instead a broken single mom, a HOT bad boy (who was not so bad on the inside) and a precocious 7 yr old. Brody sooo does it for me, tattoos, motorcycle all the things that set my bad boy tingle to hyperspeed - but he is also loving, loyal and protective. Elise is raising her daughter, while trying to keep a new business going, so she doesn't have time for men or dating. Brody is he ...more

The second book for the Brown family. I found it not as good as the first, but its still a good erotic romance. You’ll read about the whole family again plus you get another glimpse into Erin’s bedroom with her two men, so this one does have m/m and more m/m interaction then in the first book. You still get excitement, mixed emotions with a added bonus of a hot tattoo, body piercing man with a goatee named Brody who owns his own tattoo studio.

Oh, wow!!!! This book was absolutely perfect.

All I can say is that there is NOTHING sexier than a tough, badass man who's really just a big marshmallow inside. Brody Brown was all that and more. And the fact that he was also covered in tattoos: even better! The man definitely knew his way in the bedroom, as well as to Elise's heart.

This book is definitely going into my "all-time favorites" shelf. It had everything. One minute I was fanning myself after reading the sizzling hot sex scenes, and th

I really liked this book because of Brody. He is a wonderful character. He was solid and steady yet a bad boy hottie with a tattoo parlor! I also liked that we got to see Erin and her men again. I hope we see more of the baby and maybe Brody/Elise having one of their own in Cope's book.

I am pretty much over Raven. I know the question was out there about her being Adrian's HEA but I don't see how that could have happened. She was a petty bitch in this book. I can't see her changing her stripes.
So much better than Laid Bare. I've had this one for a while but put it off because I didn't like Laid Bare. I had to reread my review as to why, but this book was awesome. It was everything I expected it to be sweet, sexy and I loved both Brody and Elsie and I can't wait to read book 3, Inside Out (Brown Siblings, #3) by Lauren Dane and I look forward to release day of book 4!

i love this book so much. laid bare was great too, but i always love a story that involves kids and i loved rennie.

i just went back and re-read these books in anticipation for cope and ella's story, 'inside out'.

Caroline The HEA Lover

Reasons to love this book:

•Our Beloved Characters: I read and loved Laid bare, and COMING UNDONE is focusing on Brody who is Erin’s brother from Laid Bare…that means that we get to meet again all the characters we came to love. I’m always torn when there is to be another book with a different POV, when you’ve loved a character and got your HEA you want it to stay that way. And reading a book where you know you’ll see them through someone else’s eyes is scary, it can ruin a character for you…well

I absolutely loved this book. I haven't read a book in a while that I truly enjoyed this much.

It focused on real relationships. Romanance, family, friends. It was nice to read about an older couple as opposed to most that I've read with characters in their twenties and early thirties. Not that I don't love those, I do. It's just a nice change to see that older couples are also seen as very sexual beings.

Lauren Dane captures every feeling of each character and every situation and brings it to lif

Coming Undone is the highly anticipated follow-up to Laid Bare. Although this is a sequel it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Coming Undone centers on Erin's older brother Brody and his new neighbor, Elise.

Brody is almost 40, tatted up, and hot; he actually owns his own tattoo parlor. We learn throughout the story that Brody's parents died when he was a young man and he left his plans for the future to care for his younger brother and sister - he doesn't regret any of it, they are a ver

This is the second book in Lauren Dane's Brown sibling series and, like Laid Bare, this did not disappoint.
In Coming Undone, former elite ballerina Elise Sorenson has just relocated to Seattle with her adorable daughter Rennie. Elise and Rennie come from a troubled past and Elise, being a protective mother, wants to give her daughter a safe, loving environment away from the traumatic experience that she's been through. Elise's priority is to protect and provide for her daughter and she has no i
