I received a free copy of Sm{B}itten (a BBW/vampire romance) (Night Fall Book 1) in return for an impartial review, so thanks!

I am a huge fantasy fan, and I love vampire stories of any kind and enjoyed reading Ms. Devlin’s take on them. I liked the characters in this story – Emmy, Dylan and of course Quentin, whose story I cannot wait to read.

I have to say that I don’t think there is a genre that Ms. Devlin hasn’t written. Sm{B}itten is of course about vampires and how they interact with humans

Recommends it for: Everyone!!!
This was the second book I have read by Ms. Devlin. I loved it even more than the other book I read of hers. I have added the rest of this series 'My Immortal Knights' to my to-be-read book list and once I catch up on the series I will patiently (okay impatiently await for my next fix). I was captivated from the beginning and laughed numerous times while reading. I picked this book up while it was on the amazon free list, (a hell of a bargain for me!) and ended up highlighting several lines on m ...more

BBW, Vampires - this book is so hot it might set you on fire!

I loved this story, the first in Delilah’s Night Fall series. I want to warn you up front, there is a cliffhanger of sorts but there is also a HFN (happy for now). The ending left me wanting to read more but not so much feeling devastated because I have to wait to read more.

The blurb for the book gives you the background for the story so I won’t retell it here. Just know that if you love vampires and erotic romance you have to get thi

Okay concept. Too much awkward chit-chat during sex. No transitions between most scenes and read as if large portions of the story were savagely sawed off to make novella word count. Minimal chemistry with the couple. In essence, poorly written (and edited) porn.

In the first story, All Hallow's Heartbreaker, we meet Emmy Harris wearing a too tight Halloween costume and about to fall into trouble at a Halloween party. Chatty, and funny, Emmy is saved from a Master Vampire by the mysterious Dylan O'hara, who also turns out to be a creature of the night. Dylan's vow to protect her isn't so easy when she discovers his true idenity. Dylan's and Emmy's encounters are hot, sexy, and more than enough to heat the blood of any reading living or otherwise. The sto

A bit of a disappointing read. I hadn't expected stunning literature, but I had thought it would be fairly decent given that I've read other works by Ms. Devlin and have greatly enjoyed them. Silent Knight, which is a least loosely related to this series I believe, is one of my favorite shorts, and I'd hoped this would be much like it. Instead I found myself shaking my head and rolling my eyes a lot at the often stilted dialog, and situations that resolve themselves far too easily, usually by th ...more

I read another Delilah Devlin book (my first ever) last week and absolutely adored it. So I thought I was pretty lucky to find this one sitting on my kindle. It was a freebie and let me tell you, I never would've picked it up if I'd seen the original cover. Holy ugliness Batman, that first cover was horrid.

Anyway, from an entirely marketing point of view, I think having this book as a freebie isn't the right thing for Delilah Devlin. It is nowhere near the greatness of the other one I read and

Emmaline Harris is a woman wanting to break away from the norm(reluctantly). When her best friend convinces her to dress as a sexy vampyre for a Halloween party things seem to go from an bad idea to an even worst idea in a matter of minutes. She is man handled by her friends new beau Nicky. She tells the creep she has an boyfriend and uses her imagination and spins a tale of her dream guy. To her surprise her imagination is real and pulling her from Nicky's clutches. Dylan O'Hara smelled her hum ...more

First book of Ms. Devlin's My Immortal Knight series...interesting. Ms. Devlin had opted for an imperfect heroine to a perfect vampire-hero--that's really cool. And the H/H's personalities contradicts each other that I had almost not seen the connection the two lust-driven protagonist could have...but they did!

Storyline: Emmaline Harris meets the perfect man at a Halloween party. After he rescues her from the unwanted attentions of another partygoer, she succumbs to his kisses and spends an even
Read like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode. Seriously, with the full on description of the vampires being exactly how they are in Buffy, nobby headbones and all.

Waaaaay too much annoying chit chat.

Really didn't have any chemistry between the main couple.

The plot was quite weak.

Did feel like there was stuff missing. Not overly impressed. This was my first foray with the author. Hope her other stuff is better, if I bother with it at all.

Definitely a Keeper!!

Always enjoyed Delilah's sense of humor and ability to weave a great cast of characters and interesting plots, steamy scenes , supporting characters that'll leave you wanting to cheer for the next one to be able to see who, what and where happens next. I'm SOOOO GONNA RECOMMEND YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS OUT ON HER WRITING....IT'S ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUSLY NAUGHTY AND ENTERTAINING!!

Don't miss out on one of the best books written!

Sm{B}kitten is face paced, exciting, filled with sexy characters and HOT, HOT sex scenes but it's the characters themselves that will keep you up all night reading. Smart, funny, sassy female and strong, sexy Alpha male vampire that likes his women sassy and smart. You will not be able to put it down.

I really enjoyed reading Sm{B}itten. It was a great story, I loved the characters and would definitely recommend this book.

Emmy Harris is not the type of girls men normally hit on. She knows she is not skinny and has some extra padding around the edges and she is good with that.

Dylan O'Hara is a century old Vampire he knows he needs to feed but he is bored with the blood whores he is surrounded by.

When Emmy walks into The Cavern she notices the eyes instantly upon her and soon her best friend le

I actually liked this book. It was my first Delilah Devlin book so I had no expectations apart from steamy sex, since its a EC book. I usually dont like "funny" books so I was pleasantly surprised.

Emma is conned by her so called best friend to attend a Halloween Party at a club. When Emma gets there she is the only one in costume. Emma gets caught by a bad guy and gets rescued by the good guy. And, boy, is he yummy.

The story is simple and light hearted. Emma is full of questions and tend to ask

I wanted to like this. There were such promising elements but it just didn't work, and I'm bummed.

Emmy goes out on Halloween and finds herself in mortal danger in a vampire bar, Dylan comes to her rescue.

Dylan is yummy sexy and I would have liked more of him but Emmy was just TSTL. I didn't hate her but she was so silly I couldn't like her.
I know the author was going for funny with her but it fell flat.

There is lots of sex and it could have been so good but it was ruined by Emmy's ridiculous cha

DNF: if I could have given this negative stars, I would have. God I wanted to kill her within seconds. There's innocent when it comes to sex, and then there's this crazy weirdo who doesn't seem to know literally anything. SO not worth spending time on.
A bit over the top when it comes to silly sex talk and light on plot. There were a couple of pretty funny moments, but not enough to carry the whole story. It was okay, but I don't think I'll be continuing the series.

3 1/2 rounded up to 4 stars due to the sheer comedic value of the dialogue between Emma, our Rubanesque heroine, and Dylan, our Alpha-male vampire with the patience of Job.

The story starts with a Halloween party, so it fits with my October reading theme. Emma is a great character: she tends to exhibit what I call the gumball-machine syndrome - that is, anything idea she tends to think pops straight out of her mouth without mental editing. Thus, she tends to say a lot of things that end up funny

Such a really nice, hard story of the vamp/human interaction that brings a whole different perspective forward. Really enjoyed this story.

Sexy vamps

Delilah Devlin writes a very hot vampire story. I enjoyed Emma and Dylan and I know Quentin will have his own story.

Enjoy this first in Ms. Devlin's new series. I do love a well written Vampire story with a HEA but with a lead in for the next one in the series! Liked it enough that I have already bought book 2. A good length for the price!

I really do not know how to tag this novelette (100 pages ca). Usually, EC imprints are really out of my comfort zone, not because they are kinky or too explicit. Simply because, with some exception, they are worthless and boring porn. This book was saved by its sheer absurdity that made it "funny". And If you are laughing this hard, you can't really consider it that bad. :) Mind you, it's still porn (no story to talk of), but at least it wasn't boring. :)

Too much chatty sarcasm. There's a difference between two people joking with each other during sex and everyone having fun and what Delilah did in this book. The sarcasm was misplaced and felt like it was trying to force a connection between the two main characters, as if during their first encounter they knew each other so well they could banter like that. It didn't work and was distracting. Disappointing, because I am a fan of Delilah's and I expected to like it more.

This is an Ellora's Cave book so it is definitely on the erotica side.

Emma Harris innocently goes to a vampire club to be with her friend Monica. Only Monica pawns her off on a bad vampire named Nicky. Lucky for Emma that Dylan O'Hara comes to her rescue. It is the first in a series titled My Immortal Knight and the story is continued in the next book. I enjoyed the story line but it is more erotica than I enjoy. This was a free book.
