A good romance book with a lot of mystery and suspense. It asks the question if we have lived other past lives and can we change the course. Back in the 17th century a woman is burned at the stake for witchcraft and treason. She refuses to marry Sir Walter, already having secretly married her fathers main man in his army, Michael. Michael could not get to in time and watched her burn to her death. Going forward to today, we find Jillian having nightmares of fire. She is the granddaughter of the ...more

This book was simply a great read. I would recommend it to anyone. Even though it was published 10 years ago, its setting is current, the characters are down to earth and the plot fab!!!
Jewelry designer Jillian Llewellyn is drawn to a handsome stranger, Robert Marston, the new silent partner at her family's business, Llewellyn Enterprises. When several bizarre accidents begin to happen, Robert begins to believe that someone wants Jillian dead.

I really did not like this book. The back story was hard to follow. There was no chemistry between the hero and heroine. And most of the murder attempts were just to absurd for one person to be able to pull off. Sorry, can't recommend this
This was tense and a little slow but had good depth and a little bit of a otherness. I liked the characters and the plot. This was a whodunit with a lot of doubt and crazies. Namely the family. I liked the two stories in one thing and the ending was good. This is something I wouldn't mind reading again, during the season, but not as a go-to. There were emotions, a little suspense, some great white knight moments, a few soulful touching moments, good amounts of faith, and plenty of speculation in ...more
Book felt too gimmicky to me, trying to do the historical/modern thing and not really succeeding.

A quick read...kept my interest...some holes in the plot, however I liked the back story.
Slow start I admit but I loved it.
Kept thinking this one would get better. Premise and characters were interesting enough, but too many of them made it confusing and some were not fleshed out and seemed wasted. About half way in, kept wondering when it would get more interesting, and it just never really did.

I felt that the author left out a lot of the supporting story line to the main plot of the story.( if that makes sense.) I kept reading , thinking that it would all be explained, it really wasn't. Wouldn't recommend to read.

A Christmas romance murder mystery with a past life thrown in! Loads of fun!
