This follow-up improves upon its predecessor, "Curse of the Kissing Cousins." While I liked the fictional TV show in "Cousins" better, the faux-Western "Cowtown" at the center of this one is just as clever, and rife with opportunities for jokes and metaphors in the Cowtown Code.

I admire freelance reporter Tilda's persistence. Her primary method of investigation is through interviews, and she talks to lots of people throughout the course of the novel.

The dialogue is great, so the conversations

This is the second of the Where Are They Now mystery series featuring freelance writer Tilda Harper. Tilda's focus is on entertainment news, and she's a big fan of classic television, so when she's asked to do a series of articles about a 1950s Western called Cowtown, she's thrilled.

She rushes to finish the article she's doing on pinup queen Sandra Sechrest, a contemporary of Bettie Page. Returning to Sandra's apartment late one night after forgetting her camera there, Tilda finds Sandra lying o

Great read, Tilda Harper is a freelance reporter, and loves to report on former stars and "Where are they now". Tilda is about to finish her article on one of the premiere pinup models of the fifties, and when she goes to the women's apartment she finds the woman dead. Being Tilda she has to investigate and find out who was the guilty party.

Freelance entertainment reporter Tilda returns to the apartment of a once-time pinup model and finds the woman dead. Still reeling from the experience, she's hired to do a possibly lucrative set of interviews with guest stars of the old Cowtown cowboy series. As she digs into the interviews, she finds that some of the women connected with the show also posed as pinups, and are still desperate, fifty plus years later, to keep that information confidential.

This is the second "Where Are They Now?" mystery featuring investigative entertainment reporter Tilda Harper. The world of television Western adventure shows frames the mystery this time. While not quite as well-developed and interesting as the first volume, CURSE OF THE KISSING COUSINS, there's still a very well developed back-drop while Tilda and her crew go through their paces. The books are light and fun page-turners, very well crafted and detailed.
Fun mystery, if pretty heavy-handed on the western and "Cowtown" stuff. I liked the investigative aspects of the story, and will check out the others books in this series.

I really like this writers ability to explain her characters work life, her ability to intergrate it into the story, and make it all interesting, informative and credible.
Brigitta {Percy Jackson Lover}
Tilda strikes once again with her wit and persistence. Nothing stood in her way and she did whatever she could to find the answers.
