As the author of this book, I have to say this was the most fun to research and write. What's not to like about Savannah, Charleston and Pawleys Island, South Carolina? And when you throw in a few ghost stories, it gets even better. Young readers won't know they're learning some history when they read this book; they'll only know they're having fun as they follow Joey, Bobby and Katy on their latest adventure.

A cute little story that presents to the reader information on the history of Savannah, Charleston, etc. via its architecture through a family's vacation experience. The characters not really believable and the educational information not too subtle. Middle school level-no. Elementary school level-maybe.

Like the other Jane Wood book about the St. John's River, I thought this book would be great for kids 7-11, especially if they were getting ready to go on a vacation to the area. The plot is a little weak, woven around lots of factual information, but all in all a good read.

One of my all-time favorites. I suggest it. Good for kids and grown-ups.
