I have not read any other books in the Poison Apple series, and at the very beginning I could tell I was coming into an ongoing story because the characters were mentioned in a kind of haphazard way, like I should have been familiar with them already. It doesn't keep you from reading them out of order, though, as this story focused mainly on two characters, Zoe and Mia.

Mia and Zoe are best friends who do it all together. This is a really good book for teens, preteens, and 'tweens who like suspense. Like most stories, it starts off with the girls having a great time...and then it all goes bad for Zoe. I liked the fact that this book shows that young people can be intelligent and solve their own problems, if they put their minds to it, and that even though their life drama might seem hopeless, there is always a way to fix things if you are willing to put forth an effort. This was another really suspenseful book, but it wasn't as scary as The Dead End. The cursed necklace which has such a strong hold over Zoe is a powerful object, but I never lost hope that she and Mia would find a way to defeat it. I couldn't help but be reminded slightly of the horcrux Ron destroys in the final Harry Potter book, except the horcrux had more power over Ron's thoughts, while this necklace merely messed with Zoe's luck. I really enjoyed this book a lot. Two best friends Zoe and Mia get their fortunes read at a carnival, and the lady that read them gives Zoe a necklace to seal her fortune and as soon as Zoe puts it on unexplained things start to happen to her, i.e. her bike spins out of control, a fire starts in the oven when it is not on, and she begins to receive threatening texts and e-mails. All in all this book was really well written.

Zoe and Mia stop and see a fortune teller as they are leaving the carnival and Zoe gets a curse passed on to her. Terrible things keep happening to her, and Noah thinks she is harassing him. Not as creepy as the first one but still a good creepy read.
I think that "Miss Fortune" is the best book ever! I think that anyone would like this book.

I read this book in school and i really enjoyed it. It was pretty interesting and i was a page turner book for sure. I also recommend to read the other Poison Apple Book called, " This Totally Bites" it was also pretty good!
This book is so fun and it is about a girl got cursed and her friend tried to save the girl from getting in more trouble. it is so exiting and you can't stop after you started reading it. I finished this book in 1 day!

this is a book about a girl that went to a carnival with her friends and she goes to a future place and a woman gives her a necklace and she accepts it and now shes in deep trouble her father doesn't know
This is about a girl who gets bad fortune because she doesn't believe in voodoo and gets a cursed necklace, but breaks it at the end. I recommend this book who are fans of the poison apple series.
Another winner in the Poison Apple series. Nothing earth shattering about this tale - a few things were really creepy - all in all a pleasant, quick read.
This third book in the series was okay, but I felt that the plot dragged and it didn't have the positive "girl power" vibe that the other two books have.
I thought it was the best book I've ever read. I like how Zoe and Mia get their fortunes read. But I also like the end.
The beginning is so nice, I hate how Serafina ruins it! Luckily it ends happily ever after I guess.
