This biography would be appropriate to read to children of pre-school age, kindergarteners as well as children who are begininning to read. The book was very brief, and even though it took place hundreds of years ago, children will delight in the story and relate to Christopher. The genre of this book is a biography, and is intended for children ages (P) five to eight. It is a "My First Biography" book, which makes the reading and understanding easier for a young child.
